MAINLY TWO METHODS ARE ADOPTED

1.JPEG
2.WAVELET TRANSFORM
3 ZIP

WAVELET IS CONSIDERED TO THE BEST AS IT INVOLVE WINDOWED FOURIER TRANSFORM OPERATION ON THE ANALOG IMAGE.
IF WE DO WAVELET TRANSFORM AND THEN COMPRESS BY ZIP RESULT IS  GOOD.
