Hi. I have a 10 month old Jack russell. she's still really tiny. But she was on heat last month. i did my level best to separate her from the male that will eventually mate with her when she is old enough. I came home one day and my house mate had left them together. i dont know if they mated but she had sperm dripping down her legs. She is now very bloated looking, her nipples still red and swollen. She is not necessarily eating more than usual, but is demanding a little more attention than usual. if she did mate, then she would be a month pregnant by now. If she is pregnant, what do i do, as she's tiny and i am worried about her health too. do you think she will be ok to give birth to a littler of puppies if she is pregnant? please reply to me on khoffman@mweb.co.za thanks

Hi, I know this isn't how you ask questions... but I can't seem to get the site to take me to the area where you can, so I'll ask y'all. I have a 1 and a half year old pure bred beagle... She has a playmate that is a boy beagle who belongs to my best friend. She was due to go into heat in Oct or early november and never began to bleed, so I wasn't sure what that meant? We just recently moved due to our husbands returning from deployment so they've been together playing alot and all of the sudden she has a pot belly and I feel little lumps and her feminine area is swollen... I never noticed her bleeding at all just some swelling so I thought it was safe for them to play together, we've left them in the fence for long periods of tiem without worrying about what they were doing bc I didn't think she was in heat yet... now the pot belly! YIKES! Is she pregnant and how do I tell for sure! Can anyone tell me how it works and what I should do?

hi, I like to know if my dog is pregnant.. she's a small dog normally weight s about 5.5.lbs.. on Marcch 16-17 she was mate.. she's eating a lot more has gained weight and her nipples are larger, but other than that she's normal. is there somenthing else I should be looking for? please help, thanks

Hi! according to my calendar your dog is about 6 1/2 weeks along now? She should be alot bigger and eating/drinking more as you said (though at about seven weeks along they tend to lose their appetite). Bigger nipples are a sign of pregnancy and you may notice her digging and urinating more often. Is she laying around and sleeping all day? That is one of the most obvious signs. You can go to http://www.schaferhund.com/pregnancy.htm It gives you a calendar of pregnancy along with the signs that will occur at that time. hello, i think my dog is pregnant, she is eating more, she sleeps all day and she is a bit more bulky around her ribs but im not sure, especially when the stud dog had a testicular tumour and he had them cut of just before she was on heat and he might of been infertile because he is 12 years old, but the vet says it is possible, and she is only 18 months old.... what do u think? could u e-mail me on what you think. carl1jones@msn.com

well i found what i think is milk underneath my dogs nipple while she was sleeping. And her nipples look bigger. she is a neoplaitan mastiff so im wondering if anyone can help me, i think she is pregnant, but it wasnt planned so how do i tell? please email me at hockeynsoccer34@yahoo.com

hi! My dog Cara escaped when she was on heat. we found her the next day. We took her to the vet and he gave her an injection to prevent her from being pregnant. BUT she has put on weight and her nipples are harder. It worries me that she may of mated with a much bigger dog and if she does give birth that the pups may be too big and she could be in danger of loosing her life. A month ago we was at my house in delaware and we was going to phillly and she was in heatp and we aksadently her in delaware and her doggy friend sparky was there and by the time we noteice weshe was gon we was in philly allready we then we had to go back to delawre and when we got there her and sparky was under the tree on the side of the house three weeks later her nipples started geting biger she started eating and drinking more and she started to get fater and she started sleeping to much started being maen and grumpy toreds everyone

question, my dog is small and my family can't tell wether or wether not she is pregnant.She was in heat,she seems to be getting bigger but she is kinda long in stature.She does sleep a lot,and she does go to bathroom a lot.She was mating around October 16th.

hey i have a little dog we found today and i a m scared if she pregnant she has big nipples and likes to eat a lot but she don't drink lot of water but i think she had babies or is just hungry because she was in the streets can u help me please i am scared!!!!

i toohave a 3 yr old stray dog whom the vet thinks is fixed however my german shepard isn't and she is a lab mixed and now has gotten larger urinates more her vulva is swollen but no bloody show and she is always trying to mount my german shepard ????

There is also the sign that there is milk leaking out of the nipples and if she is sleepy and if she has a fav. nesting spot where she sleeps! Good Luck and Always BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, My dog is a small dog and I think she's gone into heat. Everytime I bring her outside all the male dogs come around her and try to get at her all the time. (that never happened before)She had a little bleeding a while ago and she mated a couple days ago. She's very lazy and she lies around all the time. Her fur is very greasy and she has larger litters of feces and urinates a lot more and she only nibbles at her food. Are these signs of pregnancy??

I have a lab mix she is about 1 and 1/2 years old and she was in heat about 2 weeks ago.. I don't know if she is pregnant..she has been eating alot more than ususal and she looks a little but bigger around her rib area? Her nipples are still the same size..but she has been eating/drinking more often..what is this a sign of?

I'm concerned that my dog may be pregnant. I have noticed that a few of her nipples are swollen, and gently squeezing them causes them to ooze a milky fluid. Also, she has been more aggressive than usual toward our other dog. I haven't noticed any other symptoms. I don't know when she would have mated - she gets out of the yard occasionally, but I haven't noticed her going into heat in the last few months (and she isn't bleeding now). Is she pregnant or sick? Should I take her to the vet?

Hi I want to know if my dog is pergnant she is eating less and not as hiper and is using the bathroom on the floor. My uncle came on June 16,2005 and took her for a whole day and when she came back she was not the same now today is June17,2005 but he did this before and I don't want her to be pergnant because my mom said she does not want a pergnant dog so if anybody has an answer please write ASAP. thanks P.S she is a blue pitbull

we have a 10month old shih tzu which usually she weighs about 6pounds and she has gained like 4pounds in the last 4days and has been eating normal . she has also been lying around and sleeping alot, when we used to go for walks she used to always jump up and want to come now when we take her for walks she just stops and lays there. we think she might be pregnant?
