It all depends on your policy - some do some don't

Yes, some insurance companies do pay after a suicide.  It is usually mandated by a certain time frame.  example:  If you have had the policy for over 2 years...the person committs suicide....some policies will honor the policy.

Actually, generally, no.  There ARE existing policies that do, but for the most part, no way.  Insurance companies are generally about protecting their money, and while it sounds cold--well, it IS cold--they don't want suicide to be an incentive for someone to buy a policy with a large payout for the purpose of providing for his/her family by committing suicide.  It has nothing to do with the provider caring about how you die.

However, my real concern is, Why Are You Asking This?
