why is there not a cause for it like a disease?

So little is known about the brain, even with all our so called "medical technology".  We need to know more about how the brain functions in order to start seeing the impact it could or does have when something is not functioning properly.  The answer to our question is that it is still an unknown.... it would be hard to try to create a cure for a disease when you don't even know what the disease is in the first place:(
