Dear Sir,
I am looking for a song about the battle of Buckland mills or the
battle of chestnut hill. This was a cavalry battle that the south won so it
is probably a southern song. lyrics may have been added to song
similar to jine the cavalry. The generals involved were JEB Stuart,
buford, Custer and kilpatrick. Battle occured on October 19, 1863. The song
contains words "Buckland Races" . We are trying to protect a
battlefield in the area of Manassas Virginia and believe that this song would
be very helpful in protecting us from the invasion of Yankees in this area
Thanks
Bill Fletcher
I am willing to make a substantial contribution for song and sheet music if you have or can find
