I had the same thing on my 97 LHS, I found the number 5 cylinder code plus erradic misfire codes come up. I tore into my engine and found the head bolt back by the number 5 cylinder was sheared off - long story short, I replaced spark plugs, wires, slaved in a new coil pack no change, fuel injector, plenum gasket, intake manifold gasket, fuel rail packings until I found the bad bolt. Fixed it and the engine light went out and had no problem since.
