I have a new girl friend that has been running for a little over a year. She runs the same route 3 days a week but still cannot make the whole thing without taking a walk break. The route is about 2-2 1/4 mile. The only thing I can figure out is that it is in her mind. I have suggested she change routes, figuring she knows how far she can make it every time, hence convincing herself she needs that break. Does this sound somewhat accurate?
