I have been diagonosed bipolar and was previously diagnosed with depression and adhd how do I know the diagnoses is correct this time.

               please help thank you

Check out the DSM-IV, which is the manual used by mental health professionals to determine these things. Also, there is no reason why all the diagnosis couldn't be correct. If you are bi-polar, then you are depressed by definition. ADHD is a separate category. I hope you get some help, whatever the correct diagnosis is.

It is important to acknowledge that doctors, and people everywhere, do not have a good understanding of mental illnesses and there treatment. For example it is unknown how bipolar medications work. The doctors do the best they can with what they have learned. There is usually a legitemate reason, and difference between each diagnosis. The best way to find out if the diagnosis is correct is to research each illness and there differences. You know your own symptoms better than anyone, so you can decide for yourself if you think that the diagnosis is correct.
