I have taken pains in finding a first quality Chihuahua female. She is 18 months old,and not due to come in heat until November 2003. We recently bought our wonderful little male, who we plan to breed to our little girl. (they are very compatible pedigree wise, and we planned this out) My question is. They are together 60% of the time and he is constantly mounting her, which I know is normal. He is 4 mos old, will this do anything to his sperm count positively or negatively until he is 7mos. old and I can breed him by A.K.C. standards? Thank You for any advise anyone may have.

No this should not interfear with his sperm count.

Your little guy may or may not be ready to breed at 7 months. Right now, he is just going thru the motions and it will not affect his sperm one way or the other when he is ready to breed. He is just practicing for when the big day arrives.

watch them carefully, if she is bred to early it could cause problems and if he develops unwanted traits he will pass them even be-for you know about them, they surface about two.
