Hi,

I just bought a used 1995 VW Passat(V6), and there seems to be an oil leak.  What is the usual process of diagnosising this, and about how much more $$$....will this run.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Its hard to say, it depends on where the leak is coming from.  The best way to find out is to wash down the engine at a do it yourself car wash and then wait a day.  After a day inspect the car and see where the leak is coming from, then you can act accordingly.

i had the same problem in the same model and year... basically what you probably have to do is just tighten the oil filter, because it comes loose from time to time
