Is it possible to replace the water pump on a 1995 VW Passat without lifting out the engine?

yes, as far as i can tell.  I'm in the middle of it and it seems totally doable (i'm almost done).  It's a matter of reaching hex-headed screws holding it on to the block on the right side of the unit.

PULL ENGINE OR GET BLOWTORCH CUT OUT PASSANGER SIDE FRAME&WHEEL WELL! SELL IT

it is not hard to chanhge it u kno just open the bolts on the water pump and move it bit and it ill cum off get new 1 and put the onit simple as that
