I have a 4 yr. old GS which I adopted from a rescue organization.  At the time no one knew she had allergies, but alas, she does.  She itches constantly, runs a temp, has red ears, etc.  I have had her to the vet many, many times, had her on steroid shots that would only last 3 weeks, (have tried two different kinds) he has given her antibiotics, etc.  I have recently had her tested for allergies, all levels of what she is allergic to are in the 250 range with 400 being the highest.  She has food allergies, of which I can and do control with special food.  The others I can not.  (trees, weeds, etc.)  I now have the allergy serum to give her, but her first injection, which was so very small, .1ml put her right over the edge, including a huge welt with oozing crystals from her skin where the injection was given, which was NOT supposed to happen, these injections are only to bring her to a slightly higher level to build her immune system.  I can not seem to get any help from my vet, this was to be a "partnering" deal with the dog, myself and the vet, (per the lab brochure) but it is not. I have asked my vet for some answers on what to do at this point, he didn't know, but was to call the lab, which was a week ago, and he just doesn't seem interested in helping, I guess we are just numbers and dollar signs to him. I am totally lost at this point.  If I change vets that will most likely start the process all over again and I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this point and have gotten no where.  I am to the point of just giving her steroid shots, knowing full well this will break down her system, but I can't stand to give her the allergy shots and watch her go into a mad, agonizing itching frenzy.  I have also tried prescription allergy medication, with little to no relief, as well as the bathes to relieve the skin, and the Omega 3 & 6 to her food.  We live in Arizona, and this goes on all year round. Does anyone have any suggestions?  HELP!!!

I read that consuming some totally raw, unfiltered, never-heated LOCALLY PRODUCED honey is good -- for dogs and humans -- the honey MUST BE LOCAL -- AND MUST BE TOTALLY RAW -- it is supposed to have the same effect as allergy shots for the same thing -- as it contains bits and pieces of pollen etc --

also -- GRAPE SEED EXTRACT -- has natural anti-histamine properties --
