I found a old copy of mortal kombat i use to play on an older computer i had which i no longer have. this copy is the first mortal kombat for PC i believe it is on a 3 floppy disk package. my problem is i do not have the instruction manual. so now i am trying to play the game but the first thing that comes up is three screens all asking for words as a password from paragraphs and lines in the instruction manuals, so I'm stuck, the game is already loaded on my PC, but i cannot get pass this part. does anyone have the manual or the words it asks for

helpless in Columbus, oh
Marcia

Sadly, I don't know the answer, though I have the same problem. When I typed it in on google, this was the result, so this is my first post on faqs.org.  I just wanted to see if it would yield anything useful.

I've had the same issue only I lost the manual and have searched the net for it with no luck.   I only remember one password there are like 20 or so different ones.  The one I do remember is uppercut.  So what I do is type in upper cut over and over till it lets me in.  It might help to make a list and just try random words that would be in the manual blind guessing but you never know.  I think fireball might be another one but not real sure.

put whatever you want or just a letter than push enter. after that press f1 or f2 to start. press both to PLAY 2 PLAYER mode.to select a character, use z to move left,c to move right, x to duck, and s to jump. the actions are i ,j,m, and n. for second player, use only the numbers on the right using numbers 1 thru 9. thats all . but if u want to learn about attacks, go to mortalkombatwarehouse.com.press f10 for options.

Am also looking for the user's manual for this vintage Mortal Kombat PC floppy disk package.  It won't let me play the game without it.  I need help, if anyone has this manual.

I'm in the same situation; I found this 3 disk package at an old game store today and it didn't come with the booklet. I'll come back if I can get access to a manual.
