Does any one know how to program the alarm system in a 2000...

Does any one know how to program the alarm system in a 2000 Tundra. Everytime the door is open with out the key in the ignition the alarm activates it self. Not long ago this didn't happend. I can't find the steps to reprogram that feature again.

You must have the RS3000 Vehicle Intrusion Protection system that I have on my 02 Tundra.  You need the Owners Guide to program the system. It's programmed by turning the key on/off some many times, pressing the buttons on the remote control, and believe it or not, opening/closing the drivers door some many times. You need the book to program it.

I am working on getting the instructions on the web site under the Tacoma section.  Check there in the next few days and you should find some info on the RS3000 system.

I want to ask a related question.
I have a 2001 Tundra with original Vehicle Intrusion Protection system. The original key and 3 button remote was one piece unit this is now obsolete, the new ones are 2 separate pieces. Where can I buy a generic remote and then how can I program it?
