Try fuse 13 in the fuse box under the driver's side dashboard - reference owners manual if you'ldlike a drawing. If it is blown, the airbag light will stay on.

The same fuse powers the rear wiper, so if you have trouble with that too the fuse is a really good bet.

Yo

I have the same problem.  Just been told that it is NOT the clockspring by the dealer, but I cannot be afford to pay to $100 diagnosis fee.

Does the airbag light being on just mean that the airbag may not work?  Can it mean that the bag may inflate for no reason whilst I am driving - I hope not!!

blown fuse usually caused by short in rear wiper motor unit.  If rear wiper usage causes air bag light to keep coming on and fuse keeps blowing, replace rear wiper motor.
