I work at a pawn shop where we have a York safe.  All of the sudden the key will no longer work.  We tried the spare key and still it will not turn.  We had a locksmith out and he couldn't open it either.  He wants to drill the lock out for a large amount of money.  We want to drill it out ourselves.  However we need a schematic of the safe.  Where the bars are that we have to cut through.  If we can just cut the hinges off or what?  If I remember right there are bars that go up on the top and on the sides.  Any information would be most helpful. jlowneys@sbcglobal.net

Hi Stefani I am what people would call a box man. Your description is incomplete.I will also put my rep on the line and say you have better luck winning the lotto than getting information be it schematics ,not available,
instruction how to,what ever its not going
to happen. People in the trade are very
careful who gets information on how to open safes. You mentioned big bucks you are probably correct but hey at the end of the day you get to retrieve items from the safe undamaged and avoid harm or even death. Oh that probably did not come to mind and I truly under stand just like the two individuals who tried to save money and decided to cut into the safe with a torch not realizing the potential danger as the acetylene accumulated with in the safe and blew the door cutting this person in half and crushing his partner.Take me seriously as I have the pictures and,no-no copies. It is not pretty so with that Stefani call a professional. Remember, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.. Bob (The Box Man)
