looking for evaporator purge solenoid. on 97 grand caravan.  any help.

I assume by now you have an answer, but in case someone else has the same issue....I also have a 97 Chrysler with a code 31 (purge solenoid circuit) fault.  The purge solenoid is on the right hand side of the engine near the front (on your left looking into the hood) it has a couple small hoses and an electrical connector.  I removed mine from the vehicle and sucked on the vacuum side and could not get the diaphragm to move. I banged it on a table a couple times and heard it break loose.  then I sucked on the vacuum side and I could hear the diaphragm move back and forth.  I disconnected the battery for a few minutes, then restarted and no more fault.  we will see over the next couple days if that was a permanent fix.
