how long before a female comes in heat does it take for her to breed? Mine came in 8 days ago (first bleeding, no swelling) and hasn't stood for the male yet.

If there is a male around then when she is ready she will mate with him. My female was in heat for about 11 days until she mated with my male, but he was there the whole time and when she was ready they mated

Recently i took my 6month old female dog to the local park. There were 2 bulldogs there and they came over. One of them was just messing around and playing but the other one was about to mate her. I cant be sure if he did but my friend who was with me said he didnt and i shouldnt worry. I dont know what to do! Please tell me.

Some dogs just wont breed, i have a 10 year old Shih Tzu I tried to breed, even bought a breeding age male (this was all when she was 3 - 4 years old) and she never did breed. She did *flirt* alot and the male was very interested and mounted her, but no *tie* was ever made and no puppies...
but yeah.. it can very from about the 3rd to the 17th day.. give or take.
