Hi, I NEED SOMEONE'S HELP. MY MOM STILL WON'T LET ME GET MY NAVEL PIERCED, AND I HAVE BEEN ASKING HER FOR 2 YRS. AND SHE STILL SAYS NO!! I EVEN OFFERED 2 PAY 4 IT, AND SHE STILL SAID NO! SO, IF ANYONE HERE HAS ANY ADVICE 4 ME TO TALK MY MOM INTO GETTING MY NAVEL PIERCED, PLEASE HELP ME!!!! PLEASE!!!!PLEASE!!!!!

ya ummm...if i were u wouldnt do it w/o her permission but keep trying! wut i did was ask my mom 4 some dif goals she wanted me 2 accomplish like good grades,and keeping my room clean,etc... c if that works and keep on trying! good luck! stormie

yea... well i reccon that u should get it dun still i love this piercing it looks DA BOMB! keep trying say stuff like:" why do you still treat me like i am a child" and "other mums always let their kids get piercing and try make her feel bad.... and explain to her the safe side of the piercing... GO FOR IT!

It's not the end of the world if you wait until you are 18 to get it...if you go and do it without your mom's permission, keep in mind that it is illegal for anyone to pierce a minor without parental consent, at least in USA, where I assume you are from. If not, then the legal age of consent in your country. Anyway, any person who would break the law to pierce a minor without parental consent might also break laws regarding sanitation and piercing safety. Something to think about...

dani- i think YOU are very stupid. well, not stupid, but misinformed. you will only die of an infection if it gets very, very serious and you don't seek medical help or take it out. i'vedone the research. belly buttons just have a reputation for getting infected easily, but you can prevent that from happening. honestly, i think my ears have gotten infected more often than most people's navels have who have gotten it pierced. I haven't lost my ear yet. My mom hasn't let me yet either... just wait until we're 18! woot! good luck though.

my mom won't let me get my navel pierced and i'vebeen asking for 2 yr. i told her i would keep my room clean and keep good grades. i already do everything around my house and i watch my 10 yr old and my 2yr old sisters from like 9:00pm to 4:00am on weekends. i never get to go to my friend's house so what do i do.

Have you asked you mom why she doesnt want you to do it? Have a decent talk with her not a screaming match, then you can understand each other!! then come to a compramise, i know a clip on isnt the same thing, but if she sees that you are willing to talk listen and compramise then later she may just surprise you. A little "reverse phsycology" will do the trick. try.

tell her that there is nothing dangerous about it and tell her all the after care and stuff and she night think your responsible enough to get it but dont get it without hr permission because then you could get kicked out of the house thats what my mom would do if i got somehting pierced without her permission

i think not telling your mum is a bad idea . i think you should try and persuade her by doing something really naughty like getting caught having sex with like 4 men and then getting your navel pierced wont be such a big deal

ya....my dad took me to get it done with out my moms permission..but i would just make a deal with her...lol u will clean the house for 2 weeks...or something..thats what i did...and now im going to get my lip pierced. GOOD LUCK!

My mom wont let me get my navel pierced and I'm 14. I almost got her to say yes but now shes saying that I could get an inyestine infection and die. I dont believe that so I am trying to look up navel piercing deaths and so far I haven't found any. I think my mom is lying but she swears up and down its true. Have you heard of anything like that? Please be honest because I really want this done and I WANT THE TRUTH!
