The cause of world war two was Germany's animosity towards the rest of the world, or rather Hitler's animosity.  The invasion of Poland was just what set everyone off.
After World War One, Germany was fuming because the rights that had been taken away from them.  They were upset, but was upset enough to do something about it.  He worked his way to the top, found strong countries to create alliances with, and got to business.

THE CAUSE OF WWII WAS STARTED AFTER WW1, WHEN GERMANY WAS BANNED FROM BUILDING A MILITARY, HITLER CAME TO POWER AND WANTED A NEW FATHERLAND, SO HE BUILT UP THERE MILITARY BREAKING THE TREATY OF VERSAILLE AND PUSHING GERMANY INTO ANOTHER WAR. HE WANTED TO RID GERMANY OF THE UNDESIRED JEWS, DISABLED, ANYONE NOT OF GERMAN DESCENT.
TURNING POINT OF WWII, WAS , WELL THERE WAS A FEW THINGS THAT HELPED THE WAR TURN, HITLER FOR ONE, HE STRETCHED THERE ARMY TO FAR, DIDNT LISTEN TO HIS GENERALS, AND THE MAIN TURNING POINT IS WHEN PEARL HARBOR WAS BOMBED AND AMERICA JOINED THE WAR EFFORT. D-DAY TURNED THE TIDE OF THE WAR!!

AND THE PRESIDENT WERE FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT AND HARRY S. TRUMAN

When Japan allied with Germany along with Italy Pearl Harbor was attacked and the US declared war on Japan and Germany with Italy delcared war on the US.

Turning point-
