well i got anesthetic when i got mine done... the needle felt like a tiny prick (and i HATE needles so yeah), then i felt my belly a bit later and i was like omigod i can still feel me touching my belly.. isnt it sposed to be all numb so i cant feel anything? but the doc told me it just doesnt make you feel pain... i didnt look what the doc was doing when i got it done, i was too scared. then i asked... have you finished yet??? and he said..."i finished like 2 mins ago". im like wow! i didnt even feel it! how good was that! so it doesnt hurt at all if you anesthetic by needle...(local anesthetic)... but some places dont give anesthetic. a friend of mine got it done without it and she said it wrecked! so yep... go the local anesthetic...! if your looking for a good place to get it done at, i know one in sydney, it on anzac parade, kensington. its a body piercing doctor. i think theres a website... www.body-piercing.com i think but im not sure... good luck anyway!

I am 13 and I got my belly pierced yesterday at the mall, i was really really scared and everything but it was cool, the lady rubbed orange stuff on my belly and marked where the piercing would go, then i layed down and held on to my mums hand and closed my eyes. she put the clamps on and then she told me to breathe in out in out at the same time as her and after about four breathes the needle went in, there was a few seconds of pain and then it was over. i was like wow i have my belly pierced an i was sooo happy! i was listening to her explaining how to clean it when i fainted! im just like that... but for anyone who is thinking of getting it done you should because it doesnt hurt that much and its really worth it cos it looks so cool! mine hasnt hurt since it was done yet so im really happy with it. go on!

Hey wad up itz ya gurl drea herre i was jus respondin to all these gurlz herre that are gettin really scurred ova a belly button ring...that shyt dont hurt im jus lettin u kno cuz it dont hurt at all....n to KitKat ummm u aint sposed to swim in poolz n shyt cuz of tha chlorine fo like 2-3 monthz so i dunno if thas a good idea to get it done then or get it done sooner or suttin cuz it can get infected if u go swimmin wit it done fo only 2 dayz itz gotta be atleast 2-3 monthz...but jus ta make sure u can talk to ur body piercin person aight well to everyone else...it really doesnt hurt at all and anybody that sayz it doez DONT LISTEN TO EM!!! cuz all tha worryin aint worth it cuz itz so fast n painless that u wont believe how much u worried!!! Plus it looks really really cute so yuh...lol...aight im out ~~ UnO ~~

ok, i did my belly button my self= did not hurt. if your doing it your self : go to the store and by a matress need (they are curved) and make sure it is sharp and really large. also by 2 mars candy bars and a coke because they are actually help you stay more like focused( i ask my doc) and they do more stuff for you, like help you not to faint. then and then get a travel siz(if not regular) johnson and johnson babywash cuz it has a numbing effect in it, and wash your belly button with it like 10 time, it wont numb you but it helps! also make sure everything is really clean with alcohol use gloves, and if you cant find a mattres neddle get a thick needle. then get DIAL antibacterial liquid soap(its the best) and clean your belly at least 3-5 times a day, dont take a bath for 3 months adn water can only be on it a maximum of 2 minutes! for you getting it profeshionaly done do the sme things! it helps. also stick the needle through the top first and dont take it out the gradually as you pull the needle out put the barbell in. its better to have som1 there with you and have them pull out your skin and its easier that way. andy more q's email me lanes986@yahoo.com i am an expert at this !!!!!!

well i have been wanting my belly pierced for so long and yesterday i got it done and i was so exited but so so very scared when i was picking the ring i was shaking so much ooh and i got a barbell because the rings look disgusting well and y way first i signed the paper with mum then i picked the ring then i went in to this little room and she drew on me the first time it was not strait so she drew it again the she got these thing that look like scissors but with to hollow () on the end and she graved the skin with the clamp and stuck the needle through and then put the ring in at the same time as she pulled the tube out and i didn't hurt that much just a little bit but only for a second

i got my belly button done about 4-5 mounth ago...it hurts a little but nothing really bad...what they do is they tell you what they are going to do then the person gets out clamps and cleans your belly button and then you lay down...he tell you to breath and hold it and then he tells you to breath out and right when your breathing out, the needle goes thourgh...that noght when you go to sleep try to were pants that are real low cause wen i was sleeping my pants kepk hitting my stomic, it didnt hurt but it kept waking me up. so if you want it done go for it...okay. if your parient wont let you get it done just tell them that your a good kid and you dont drink or sleep around and they should let you have a little fun....thats what i said when i wanted my tongue done and it work, im getting my tongue after christmas.

heyy! ok...well everyone wonders if it hurts...and everyone is saying diff thing soo im just gonna tell you ...I WAS SOOOO SCARED and normally im not, so anway after i picked my ring they took me into a room when they puut me in this chair that lyes you down they clean ur belly like they do wit ur ears bbut its a diff color...the clamp...o the clamp..it does look like sisors ( can't spell lol ) but not u kno...lol..but when they clamp you it hurts not like ALOT just a lil and only for 20 sec most....they stick the needle in and your done...i don't reccommend anyone under 13 to get it don tho cuz its young n a lot ofu arn'tready but u think u are...anyway ne more ?tion just ask em everyone says the same thing and they arn'twrong

Hey ppl....I'm getting mine done probably Saturday..2 days!! I was there with my friend when she got hers done, and don't worry, she says it doesn't hurt that much! What they do is make you sign papers and pick out the ring you want. Then you go into the room thing and they clean your bellybutton with this orange-ish stuff then mark it, and sometimes ask you to stand up and see if you like it where it is. Then you lay back in the chair, or stand up in some cases. They put the clamps on your bellybutton then they tell you to breathe in, and when you exhale(breathe out), they push the needle through. There is a cork on the bottom of your bellybutton to stop the needle. Then they just put the ring in and screw the top on. Then they tell you how to take care of it: Use the soap they give you in the shower EVERY night. You turn away from the water, pour a little on top of the ring and slide it up and down to get the medicine into the hole. Then turn back to the water and slide it up and down to rinse it out. After your done in the shower, you put this antibiotic cream on it for about a week. DO NOT go swimming with it for at least 3-4 months. DO NOT change it for at least 2 months, or however long your piercer tells you. I wouldn't recommend piercing it yourself, because if it gets infected and you have to let it heal, there will be scar tissue. Then if you want it done professionally later, it will be even harder to get it through. My one friend pierced her own bellybutton 3 times and it took about 45 minutes to get the needle through her bellybutton!! I have mine done. I would NEVER recommend doing it at home. You need to have sanitary steralized needless and accessories to ensure you will have a clean piercing. The people who do this for a living have the educational background and knowledge to answer all your questions from the inital piercing to the style or ring/barbell, cleaning, and how to keep it safe from getting infected. It's not a simple stab through your belly button and taa daa you're done.You are sticking a foriegn object into your body. There are many levels of factors to consider outside of the basic piecring itself. Seek a professional to do this work. Don't do this at home. You wouldn't see someone operating on themselves at home slicing into themselves to remove a kidney, they go to a surgeron. The same goes for this procedure. Talk to a professional, that is why they get paid for that job.

I just got mine done like 2 weeks ago or something like that and i went to m&m's in thorndale...alls i had to do was fill out papers and since im under age i had to have my mom sign it...they took me back into a room and they cleaned around were it would be and marked it and asked if it looked good where they were gonna pierce it...i said yea and then i layed back in a chair and they put the clamps on and told me to take a deep breath and let out and it was done...i didn't feel much the thing that hurt the most was the clamps...the needle didnt hurt and it wasn't that big...and they put the ring that i picked in and it was done...my mom thought it was done when they put the clamps on lol...it hurt for about 4-5 days and it was red but i take care of mine so its not infected or anything...i can't change the ring for 2 months but thats not bad...it doesn't hurt anymore...it might be scary at first but its not really and it doesn't hurt much...u feel a little prick and thats about it besides the clamps...all my friends were like wow u really got it done let me see did it hurt i said no...if ya take good care of it, it will be fine. ok...still no one has answered any of my questions but i dont care...neway.. all of u who have the chance to get your belly button pierced....go for it if your scared...if you wanted it that bad you wouldnt really care about the pain.. unlike most of u...my parents think im too young and wont let me so if you have the chance just do it...and dont even bother asking if it does hurt.... half of these entrys say it doesnt n the other half say it does...youll never kno until you just go get it done...everyone has a different pain tolerance level... anyway.....anyone have any suggestion or ways to tell your parents gettin your belly button pierced isnt a bad thing...lol thanx

okay lele, lala, whatever it is because lala asked ways to convince your parents? no? but it's lele, okay I am like confusing myself! hee hee but anyways. what I did was bug my mom over and over and over and she said no way!!! but I kept bugging her and she was like okay if you get all A's then you can get it. But then I was like in the summer!!! you cant swim and people wont see it because well...you're out of school! So then I kept asking and pleading like please mom! And did some extra chores (hey it wont hurt you to try) like do the dishes or bake some cookies or make rice krispies. Then my mom said okay maybe we'll see how you do third quarter and I was like awww. I kept asking her still and kept going are you THINKING ABOUT IT! and be really nice to your parents! And my mom was like okay maybe on a memorable day (new years,valentines...) and so I'm like hey how about for my birthday! (its in jan) so she said maybe valentines day but I'm hoping for my birthday because I'm still asking! And how is that so far, from a NO WAY to a WE'LL SEE, then a maybe mothers day, and then fourth quarter, now maybe valentines day.... we'll I'm still working on getting it done sometime this month but I'll post later! buh-bye

Hey! Well I got mine done about a month ago, and sure I was nervous in all, but it didn't hurt that bad! Everyone is different, so it depends on your tolerance level. Anyways I'm from Wise, Virginia, and I went to a place called Purple Dragon. They got me to fill out papers, I'm 15 so my dad signed for me. Then she let me pick out my ring, then she took me back into a little room, cleaned it all around my belly button with rubbing Alcohol, then she marked it with a little dot to make sure it was straight, then clamped it, the she got me to lay down and she started talking to me and did it as she was talking to me. It burns for about 30 seconds, but afterwards you can't hardly feel it...it's sore for a few days, but you can't feel it unless you mess with it. You just really have to clean it and take care of it. It's no different from your ears pain wise though. It feels about the same. There really isn't a difference in rings though..wether you want a barbell or ring, it is all safe and equally as good. I wouldn't recommend doing it at home, it increases the chance of infection. Besides, getting a professional to do it, that has sterile equipment makes you feel a whole lot better. I was told not to lay in the tanning bed or go swimming or take baths for 10 days. You can take showers though. It takes 6-weeks before you can change it. Another thing, the lady there gave me a paper that said that it is usual for puss to secrete(come out) of the piercing while it's healing. Anyways that's my 2 cents worth. Hope I helped. -Steph

why are you getting so angry... they're nervous it's a normal thing... let them do what they want when they want who are you to tell them otherwise??? and if they're so little... why are you the one writing tHe AnNoYiNg WaY... please give me a break... you're not one to tell them what to do... so go ahead and scream b/c they can keep asking if it hurts all they want! i just got mine done and i'm 16... i was nervous! It might hurt more for one person then another, but for me the clamp hurt more then the actual piercing, but it was over in a matter of seconds... there's nothing to worry about... i know that's easier said then done... but good luck!! and just make sure you clean it with the spray they give you... if they don't give you one, don't get it there, they should give you a sea salt spray... and if they don't take the things out of new packages in front of you go somewhere else! :) good luck again... bye <3always - Elana

this ones 4 cherry: dont worry, u arent the only one beggin 2 get ur belly pierced! so welcome to the club! i have tried somethin that got my mom to say she wud think bout it- and thats a good start,right?! well heres how i did it. i went to lots of sites and did a crapload of research! then i showed it to my mom and she said that she wud think bout it and that she was glad that i did all that research isntead of just saying that i wanted my belly pierced. when u do the research parents seem to think u are responsible, so i highly suggest that. oh and it wouldnt hurt to be xtra nice to ur parents, and maybe make them breakfast in bed or somethin. hey, whateva it takes, right?!good luck,and if ur really young, thats probly another thing thats against ya. ~shelie~ o, here is a site that has lots of info bout caring 4 ur piercing and all that crap: www.hotbodyjewelry.com and if u have more questions, u can ask the pros, cuz that site has customer service which lets u ask questions, and they know a lot bout piercing,trust me!

I got my belly button pierced in November of 2003. It hurt a TINY bit when the guy put the clamp on my belly button, but, I only felt a little pressure and the needle poking through one side and out the other side. for the first two weeks or so it hurt to move around and bend over. I had to wear stretchy yoga pants or pants that didn't have a waist. I couldn't wear jeans comfortably until about January. I still have to clean my belly button piercing everyday though because it isn't healed yet. I think it was worth the hassle. Every time I look down and see it I think "wow, how cute!" really, though, you should be mature enough to have the patience and diligence to clean it and take care of it every day, TWICE a day, even if you don't want to. right...i need to get this sorted. i came on this website for SO Long to find out what it was like when you get your belly button done. and i want to get it straightened out... i was really nervous about getting mine done as i am not one for pain. and i am going to be honest..it hurt me...the thinner you are..the more you feel the clamp. so if you are not skinny and you are normal or plump the clamp then it will not affect you as much. the piercer distracted me as he put the needle in...the needle did a hurt a bit but to be completely honest...it hurt for one second and this was just as it went in...as the piercer put the barbell in...i didn't even feel it. i have had mine done for over a week now and i can't even feel it....get it done..it is SO worth it!!

3 wks ago, took me (38) & my 14 yr old daughter (FL says 14) to get her belly pierced. After watching her do it and not even flinch I decided to brave it out. They don't numb you where we went. It did not hurt at all. She swam in the ocean that afternoon and every day for a week after (springbreak) and her'sis already healed. Mine is doing great. I found our place (Caribbean Connections) by calling our local Health Department and asking for a recommendation. Don't pierce yourself or let your friends do it. It is unhygenic. I, as a parent, was just glad that the piercing she wanted wasn't on her face. A piercing is much less "permanent" than a tatoo. My motto with our kids is pick your fights. And a belly piercing just wasn't worth fighting about. Especially since I secretly had wanted mine done too!

I just got mine done yesterday and it didnt really hurt i was really scarred but i went threw with it! It didnt hurt that bad the worst part was the clamp! I had a really nice lady piercer and did it in Florida! The needle was exactly 2 inches long! The total was only 54$ with ring and aftercare kit plus the tip and the piercing! Dont have caffine or medications before you go it could cause you to bleed alot! Of course i didnt know that and had 4 classes of pepsi before i went and i bleed alot but i didnt look cause that would freak me out. It only hurt a little and it was over within 30 seconds! I cant wait to show all my friends it looks so cute! Before I went to get it done a had a bunch of different stories like it hurt alot or it didnt hurt at all. But I think it only hurt a little but i guess you will have to find out for yourself! The best think to do is get it done with a friend or bring him or her along for support! Happy piercings

I have no clue about the answer to the question about the bacteria or chlorine. It would make a great ask Jeeves's question, lol! But I got my navel pierced about an hour ago and it looks so cute. The clamps do hurt the most, and then suddenly you feel a needle go through your skin, and then another piece of skin...and its over. It burns and stings, but other than that, it was just shocking. Just clench and close your eyes and its over before you know it. Mine was 60 dollars and I'm only 13. My mom did have to come and sign papers though. Take my advice. I have pierced my belly myself and it was much more painful than getting it professionally done. Do NOT DO IT YOURSELF!! It is so much cuter, healthier, funner, safer, and painless to get it done professionally. I just closed my eyes but this is for Verity. OK, first she cleaned my belly button with alcohol, then marked where the hole would be and made sure i liked it. I did and then I laid down on the table. She put the clamps on to hold the skin which hurt worse than the needle. Then i feel this pressure and something going through my skin. I was expecting pain cause i thought she had to pull the needle out or the bell bar to hurt when she stuck it in...but i felt nothing after the needle. i didn't watch but they do put the hole in and then the bar bell verity, get it done. Yea, I have wanted mine done for like EVER!! My mom and dad kept saying no, but the other night my mom's friend was here and I was trying to get her friend to talk her into letting me go tanning, but they both said no. :( (I am clostrophobic anyways.) So then I was like then talk he into letting me get my belly button pierced, and she was like okaii. So my mom is like only if you get at least a 90 on your next French test. (So to those of you who are still working on getting the okaii, try something like I did!!) Well anyways, my French test is tomorow and I have been working my a$$ off!! I am pretty sure I can pull it off!!(Not that I am a bad student, French is just not one of my better subjects.) I am kinda nervous though, and I have like a bazillion questions that I NEED answers to. Should I bring a friend with me? Is the needle like hollow or just like a giant sewing needle? Does it take a long time? Would a regular tatto/piercing parlor have anethesics (can't spell)? Does it hurt alot? On a scale of one to ten how much does it hurt (one being not at all and ten being like tons)? How couls you compare it to getting your ears pierced? Does it feel like getting a shot at the doctor's office? How long does it hurt for? I have heard it hurts alot the next day... is that true? I am leaving for the beach in like two and a half months, is ocean water bad for it, or should I just cover it up with one of those pig clear plastic bandages? Do they get infected really easily (I know I'll take super good care of it)? And oh yea, I weigh about 92 pounds, and I am gonna be 15 in a few days... does that metter? PLEASE write back... I may be getting it done tomorow or the next day if I can get my teacher to correct it by tomorow afternoon!! PLEASE... SOME ANSWERS... PPLLEEAASSEE!! Thanx Soooooo Much!! ~Lexie~

LOOK 'N' Read PLZ.....,,I am 13, live in Britain, i am a total WIMP, all my m8'z say dat it dont hurt, i am convinced it duz!!!!!! I want it done so bad, cuz I THINK IT LOOKS WICKED, am im allowed and dat, ma siz is taking me, TRUST ME, i am the wimpiest girl on pain and needles alive m8!!!! On a scale of 1-10 say REALLY duz it hurt, and i know ya all fed up of hearing da same questionz but, do they use a tubey thingy? And really in cm how long REALLY is the needle. Im gettin it dun in 2 weeks, (well thats if i have the gutz). And i know that if i dont have it dun then then i wont ever have it done, plz tell me honestly, i weigh 7stone, 5"2. hey a gt ma belly button pierced a few hours ago n it does sting a bit of course it does its a needle in ur body. they sat me on the table and sprayed it with a waterry spray to freeze it and it fizzed a wee bit on my stomach it was cold bt a nice tingly felling they then put the clamp on and i heard a click noise bt i didnt feel it one bit and then they put the needle through which wasnt as bad as i thought it would be but it did sting for a few seconds then they pused the belly bar in and u feel a little pressure bt no pain he then sprayed a little anti bactiral spray to cool it down and then put a patch over it and i had to leav it on 4 bout 1 hour 30 mins it felt a bit hot for 5 mins or so bt then nothin i couldnt believe how cute it looked the gem i got changed colour with the light. to clean it use a anti bactiral soap and put a little water on a cotton bud n a small amount or soap NOT ALOT then put 1 TEASPOON or sea salt in half a pint of water and keep it in the fridge just slightly wet the cotton bud and the solution u made should last for ages as long as its in the fridge. hope i helped anyone with any questions just ask and i will come bk on soon 2 answer them

Hi every one! you have probably red many off my pages.But i jus wana say a lil more. Well I'm 12 and i got my belly button pierced on the 17th of july and now its the 15 of august. i have had my belly button pierced 4 30 days which is 4 weeks and 2 days and so i have had my belly button pierced 4 one month. Well every~thing has gone great it has been a lil red but now its jus a lil bit pink but its mostly all healed it would have healed quicker but i when swimming, and as i got out off the pool i scrapped my bar alone the edge off the pool and made it bleed. { But its all good now and thats a relief } I whent swimming about a week 2 weeks after having it pierced and its still gone great my opinion is actually the water in the swimming pool does it good it even cleared my stomach up (but my piercing wasn't even that bad)But still clean it wen you get back 4rm swimming jus use hot salty water or the piercing product the piercer gives you well i havent got much more 2 say...umm.... if you want it done go 4 it!!!! email me on lil_player_62@hotmail.com XxXxx Luv -=Lady~k-= XxX email me if you have any questions!!!! Hey Peeps!!! I'm 13 and I got my belly pierce 5 months ago. It is so cute!!! It hurt for like 3 seconds and then its OK. I recommend it to anyone!!! 12 is an okay age. The lady that i went to said its good i want mine...although my mom didn't approve she let me get it. Now I'm trying to convince her for an eyebrow piercing...lol. 10 years old an getting a belly pierce??? YIKES. Girl...thats young. Your body is still growing and that could be a problem. I will give advice. They say you can change your belly ring after 2 weeks. Wait at least 3. My friend removed it at 3 weeks and she thinks its fine but it looks DISGUSTING! It's abnormally red and stuff. Oh, and when you first get it pierced it will be pink for about a month or 2. It can take up to a full year for it to lose the redness...so don't let anyone worry you if they say its too red. Well I G2G!! I hope i helped. Hey gurls and or guys! lol i got my bellybutton done today it didnt hurt at all! first she cleaning my belly button then she marked it i go to look at it and see i thought it looked right, then i laid down in the chair then i got nervious, she told me to take a deep breath in and out and i was waiting for the needle to go throught then she told me that it was done and she was putting the barbel in. it looks good i clean it 3 times a day and it only hurts to bend over. i dont think you need and kind of frezzing i think the needle will hurt more then the piercing. well i think everyone should go get it! its awsome and i dont regret anything it cost me 35 buck because i already had a barbel well be safe have fun and use a condom! lol xoxoxo love you tonz taytez*

Hi guys, I'm 13 and I really really really really really really really really really want my belly button pierced! I have done LOADS of reaserch and it seems pretty safe, what do you think? My mum is worried about infections but apart from that she WOULD say yes but no info I find can convince her that it's not that dangerous! I am not worried about the pain, I have had RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) for 23 weeks now in my right foot and that means I can;t even put a sock on it for the pain, I sleep with the bed clothes off it and with it dangling over the side of the bed, I had to have 11 injections in my foot and it felt like it was on fire just when the doc. touched it! that was the worst pain ever! I was shivering and crying and I very nearly passed out (passed out in the corridor later instead! had to stay in hospital for an extra few hours! :( ) So after that I don't think anything can match up to that pain! I got my bellybutton peirced on my b-day witch is on Aug 6th 2004. I went to some place in Camp Booey(TX). I HATE needles sooo much. I was sooo scared to get it done, but i really wanted to get it done. Then finally the day came that i had to get it done with. It took us a while to acually find a place. But we finally got there and i was exited but then really scared. But i new it was worth it. We walked in and i seen tattos all over the wall, rings every where and that made me even more nerves. Right when i walked in i seen a big oh chair right on middle of the place and a little bitty one right next to it. And a little gate lookin thing around it. And the lady asked me if i had a birth certificate. I asked my dad if he had one. He said no. But i had an ID in my purse, and i new that they would use it but i was so scared i did not know if i wanted to bring it out, but they were walking out so i just brought it out and gave it to the lady. And my dad and every body walked back in to see if they would use it. The lady that worked there had to ask her maneger if they could use it. The maneger looked at me and just smiled, and said "are you ready?" i said i was but i really wasent. So the lady had to get me to sign my sidniture on this peice of paper, and i was so shy i had to get my step mpm to right it. Yeah i was scared. But n e waz, i went behind the the little gate thing and your parents and stuff have to stay behind the gate. So she took out a permenent marker and marked to lttle marks on my belly botton where she was going to do it at. I looked in the mirror and showed my step mom and told her that that is where i want it. So i sat in the little chair and she made it do back (kinda like the ones at the dintest) so i laid back and she put this stuff on it that looks like blood, but its not. And it on my tummy. She got the needle out, (but i was defenatly NOT going to look) i asked the lady that worked there if it hurts when you get it peiced, she said (oh yeah, im not trying to freak you out but it does hurt". In my head i was like oh crap!!!! You dont even know how scared i was. But i laid back and put my hands over my face, well one was over my face and one was over my eyes. And i heard her say, ok take a deep breath...... and she stuck it through! I felt it, but it did not hurt thank the lord!!!! But i looked up to see my belly botton and seen the needle stiking strait outa my belly botton, now that kinda freaked me out (lol) and she turned back aroundto put the ring in ( a little hoop one) and that did not even hurt. So who ever is scared to get there belly botton peirced, it does not hurt but you do feel it, it is just a lil sting. I sware! but they say you have to keep it on for 6 weeks, but i chaned mine in 3 days. I was really scared to change it but i was so happy i fianlly got one so i wasnted to hurry and change it so i did, but it did not hurt one bit, but you have to do it fast so that it wont close up. But if i where you i would wait about 2 to 3 weeks. And after know time your stomich will look gourges. They will tell you how to clean it and stuff. Hello, i am getting my navel pierced tomorrow, and i am very scared. My mum has booked 2 appointments for me, and i have to choose tomorrow before the appointment which one to go to. One is a medical centre and does anesthetic which i want, but the other place looks really nice and has nice jewellery and says everything on the site that i would like to know. I dont know which one to go to, after reading 'jess' responce to her getting her belly pierced i think i will get the anesthetic. but im scared that they dont have nice jewellery at the medical centre. No it dosent hurt, well yeah it does it hurts when there sticking the needle in through your skin but not really, i mean im not going to sit here and lie to you it does hurt but it only last liek 5 seconds then its over , ive had mine for like a week and a half and ive changed the ring liek 5 times already sometimes if i hit it it hurts but i dont have pains or anything and oh yeah at first i was scared to clean it so i didnt really do it and it didnt get infected so stop worring , well yeha clean it but dont be so dramatic ok . oh yeah my opinion is if your not a virgen then get yoru belly peirced casue having sex involves way more pain . buh bye emal me if you have any questions at ashly77023@yahoo.com good luck

hiya! im 15 and live in england (woohoo!) and im getting my belly done on saturday....im hoping that the whole procedure is the same here as for you lot, i really dont want the pain! ive only had my ears done once so far and i was nervous for that, but mainly because I didnt know what to expect. this time im finding as much information as possible before hand so im well prepared! ill probably end up fainting though! oh well! anywayz thanx for every1s advice, its been brill, even though i didnt have time to read through all of it! luv ya xXx (just a thought...arent a lot of the people on here really young to be having their belly done, or is it just that in england people seem to be older before they get it done?)

i got my bellybutton pierced three days ago. it really dont hurt. to me it felt like a little sting. the needle is not that big either. but before you get it done you should ask questions about the person doing it. dont just let anyone do it. and a good way to clean it, is to take a shot glass or coffee cup, and put a teaspoon of salt (i use table salt)and hot water into the glass. then put it on your bellybutton and lay down so that the salt can get on both holes, you can leave it on for five minutes but ten minutes is the best. the guy who did mine said that this will help it heal faster. Also he told me to wash mine with antibacterial soap such as dial. its worth it because they are so cute.

Wow i am so excited i begged my mum ages ago and she said yes so I was supposed to be gettin' it done on the 26th of March da day afta my b day. Ten I decided that I didn't want to go on guide holiday. (I can't believe I went to guides! It's so lame and geeky well from were I come from it is! No affence to anyone who goes to guides! ) so my mam said I could get it done earlier so i set a date for the 5th of March. My sis came home from livin in ireland in half term. ahe was supposed 2 B back 4 good. But now she has to move back out there again I was so upset so I said to her... 'oh I really wanted you 2 be here when I get it done so we asked my mum if I could have it done two days before she went my mam said no coz she had no money but den I heared my mum say to my sis: 'Take her into town tmorow 2 have it done ! I am 16 years old and my parents are cool about me getting my belly button pierced. I'm not afraid of the pain or anything but I just wanted to know some stuff about getting my naval pierced. I just wanted to know: 1. How many months do you have to have it in before you can change the jewelry? 2. How long before you can swim again? 3. What exactly does it feel like to get it pierced? 4. Why is it better to have a regular ring for a couple months and then you can move to a chandelier or a dangling? 5. What kind of movement will I have to be limited to and for how long (what can't I do-sports, etc.)? 6. How long does the pain last? 7. How painful is it exactly? (be honest) and... 8. Do you have to show a birth certificate to prove that you a 16 or what do you show to prove your age? ok, here are the answers for the most asked questions for all of u who want ur belly button pierced: QDoes it hurt? AFor most people it doesnt hurt, but it depends on ur tolerance for pain-tip:pinch ur bellybutton (hard) and thats about how much it will hurt. QWhats a good place to do it? ALook in ur local yellow pages or on www.yellowpages.com (ur zipcode or city) under 'tattoo' or 'body piercing', ask your friends or even strangers where they got theirs. QHow much does it cost? AAnywhere from $20-$50, but remember, u get wut u pay for.Call a tattoo shop and ask them... QCan i swim after i get it? ANO!! Wait for it to heal. Best to get it done in the fall, when u dont really swim alot. And if u do swim, WAS IT RIGHT AFTER U GET OUT OF THE WATER. The salt water in the ocean is good to healing, but the bacteria will give u an infection, and its not the chlorine thats bad (it only dries it out a little), its the bacteria from peoples bodies in the pool that will infect ur belly piercing. QHow old do u have to be? A18 to do it without parents, 16 or older with a note from them, and anything under that u need ur mom or dad to go with u. QDoes it hurt more if ur chubby? AYes, u have more to pierce through, but keep in mind, no1 wants to see a fat stomach, so dont show it off until u start working out. QHow big is the needle? AThe needle is about the same length as a normal needle, but it is thicker and hollow. Your piercer MUST use disposable needles for everyone, ask before u get it done, if they use one for alot of people, RUN! they should open the pouch infront of u. QHow do they do it? hey i just got my belly button pierced it doesnt hurt only liek a pince and you dont even notice that it happens.. it huts for like 20 min. after words just a little stung then its fine i got mine done like 2 hours ago its fine! i think if you want it you should go for it but sometimes its hard to find a place that will do it for people my age.. i am 14 adn skinny so it looks really good i mean i have the body for it and they didnt want me to becasue i am like not done growing but i am 5'3 and im done so i was like ill do it anyways.. they said that it could go crooked after a while when i grow but dont think that will happen... what they do is u pick out the ring! mine is blue .... then u stand up and they draw where u want it and u say if its good or not. then they say lay down u look up at the ceiling and then its done.. righ tb4 that they use like tong looking things.. but that just makes it so they can pierce it better thast all... i got it done and looked down and there was like a crow bar in my belly ( not literally tho...lol) and then she pulled it out and put the bar in.. i dont think u should get the ring cause it gets caught easily.. i have a barish thing and it doesnt get caught! they gave me some speacial soap stuff and att and the squeegy things u put in ur ear i bought those extra and u break it and medicine comes out so u wipe it on adn it feels better but i dont have the need to use it! there is also some stuff that is called H2O ocean or something like that get that!!!! then u can go swimming in the ocean and stuff and spray that on after and then it wont get infected! mine looks really good! and also if u want a place and live in Florida in brevard county around cocoa beach or by kennady space center or by ron jons... right next to ron jons on the corner is the place that lets u get it done when u are under aged... its called the corner...lol well hope this helps! good luck and ps it doesnt hurt!!!! hi im 13 and very small so wen i got my belly button done i thought it would hurt alot !!!!!!!! i was shaking a lot wen i went into the room the lady marked my belly button and told me to lie down on the bed then she clamped it this hurt a bit she then told me that was the worst part over and she put some cream/liquid on my belly button to numb it she then got got a white tube thing with a neddle on the end and stuck the end of my stud on it she pushed the neddle through the dot she had marked earlier this didnt hurt as much as the clamp she pushed the top on and put vaseline on it and a cotton pad. i went home and a hour later got into the shower to wash of the vaseline for the next 8 or so weeks i cleaned my belly button 2 times a day with the aftercare solution and washed my hands and belly button often to make sure i didnt get a infection i can now change my belly ring which i do do occasially i don't regret gettin my belly button done and would tell people that if you are prepared to look after the piercing probaly and get it pierced at the right place you will be very happy with the end result. i had my belly button pierced at the maxx in bromsgrove

Oh wow,i'm14 and i got my belly pierced at 13 i think you should wait until Ur 13 because your teen years will make you less nervous about the whole thing.When i got my belly pierced i though it was gonna hurt like hell,but it took like 45sec. and it does hurt if you go in there thinking"oh my gosh this is gonna kill me it's gonna hurt like crazy" then obviously it will hurt,but i went in there feeling all God,then when i got there when he was just about to pierce it i like yelled no get away from my belly like 6 times and i let the needle get cold,DON"T DO THAT whatever you do don't get the needle get cold!!!Just go in there and get through with it as fast as you can! Thats all i can tell you,cause i got my belly pierced my ears have 4 piercing and i pierced my tongue!!so I'mused to it!

hey guys i got my belly button done bout 4 weeks ago... it didnt hurt at all.... after it did adn its very sensitive for about a week but after that its cool adn after bout 4 days i went swimming in the ocean and after a week i went in the pool after liek 3 weeks i went in the river... i dont no if that was good or not but nothing happened if u do go make sure u clean it out really really good... well yesterday i took it out adn changed the stud... today was my first day of high skool so i wanted it to look cool i got mine done at 14 i wanted it when i was 13 but my mom wanted me to get good grades ( liek all a's) but i didnt but she let me get it done cause i tryed... if ur parents wont let u do it mabe try to make a bribe liek i did then if u try really hard and fail they stil mmight give it to u!! it was really scary to take it out and change it but if u are just get it over with!! and u have to do it fast thats why i say it.. i payed liek $60 for it and $10 for a notery which was a rip off!! then i got h2 ocean ($15)that takes away iching u have to get it all the piercing places have it or they should my friend said she herd u can take it out and change it after bout a week i herd 6 but that was frome the piercer and they want to be safe.. i would wait 3-4 weeks just to be safe...well i hope this helps if u have any questions i have aim its baseballLuver290 and puggle17 um if u are thinking bout it do it!! its worth it and it didnt hurt and i had no shots or what ever people use to make the pain go away i didnt have any of that! so go for it the 1st week u might think why did i do this cause its annoying but after a week its good but dont jump in the pool right away!! i made that mistake it hurts wait about to week to jump just walk in... well help thsi helps!! ok well everyone im 14 ill be 15 in september i been wanting to get mine pierced for a while but i always get scared. my mom said i can get it done but my dad was mad about me getting my cartilage pierced so im not even gonna ask him. everyone says that it hurts way more to get your cartilage pierced then your belly button and when i got my cartilage pierced it didn't hurt at all my friends mom did it for me with her piercing gun. but then again i guess its just up to your body on if it hurts or not for some people it hurts and for some it doesn't so im scared that it will hurt. i asked my mom if i can get it done so hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday she will take me cuz those are her days off. ok well ill get back to you guys when i do get it pierced if i do lol <3 Shay

Hello, MY name is Ashley i had mine done at a place called taboo tatto! i WAS SO NURVIOS But it was ok i mean it did not hurt to muchI did not get numbed and BEleave it or not my mom asked if i wanted to get it done !!!!!!!!! i hade it done about 2 months ago and it looks great i have salt water thing that i drip the water in it all the time about 2 times a day when im in school i have a lil eye drop bottle that i just get out of my purse drip it in let it sit i walk around like normal hen when ever i sit downabout 10 minuets later then i whip it off! its easy to take care of . but it gets infected so easy!but the place i had it done was so great she was so nice i think have adult permition tho to have it done ! they have to sign for you ! IM13 year old and love my belly button piercing !

hey i got mine done like three weeks ago. i'll try to answer everybody's questions. i went to a tattoo place and mine was only $27.00 put the price is different for every place so i can't tell you how much it will be but any way the 1st thing they do is have you lay on the table and lift your shirt above your belly button. i am very skinny by the way 108 pounds and i'm 16 but i'm not sickly skinny but anyway next they clean it with this orangeish redish stuff. then they put a clamp on the clamp is sorta tight but that's it. then i saw him get the needle i was so scared i looked at the celing and waited for a little bit but nothing happened. i looked at my belly button and he was like ok all done! i was thinking omg i didn't feel a thing!i did't even think the ring was in but it was and it looked so cute. the best kinda of jewlery to get when they do it is a ring b/c it is much easier to turn and it will heal better. the needle is a 14g. its sort big but not huge!! after about a week after i got mine done i changed it it looks so cute andit was worth it. i hope i answered every body's questions!! holla, jade

well i had my belly button done 4 bout 6 weeks and yeah mine killed really bad but they didn't use freeze spray or anything they just done it. your not meant to change it 4 3 months otherwise it could get infected but i changed mine recently and it iz fine. basically wen they pierce it they mark on Ur belly button wit pen where they r gonna do it they clamp it and then some places use freeze spray 2 numb it and then they pierce it wit a needle. the woman i got it done off said it woz bout 4 inches long. mine cost �35 and alot of places u hav 2 b 18 but some places dont mind how old u r cos my cousin got hers done wen she woz 9 and she is now 15 and hers iz fine. by the way i am 16 hope i hav helped

I'm 15, i just got my belly button pierced a month ago. If you are 12 and under i would not suggest it. Yea I'm going to tell you the truth, it did hurt. The pain was manageable though and definitely worth it! The piercer counted -1-2-3. 1 was entering the skin, 2 was threw, and 3 was out the other end. 1 and 2 were completely painless. 3 on the other hand hurt some, not too bad though. The pain was gone so quickly by the time you say 'ow" it was gone. The first week my belly button hurt, but after a month i love it! Take great care of it because belly button rings are prone to infections. Ear piercings on a scale of 1-10 were about a 2 while belly button i thought was a 4/5. Its so worth it and the pain is really not that bad. Go for it!

I just want to tell you all, belly buttons are fun! I turned 18 last Monday and bought my piercing for myself. It's only 3 days old now but it's healing very well. Day 1 was fine, no pain, nada. Day 2 was a little more painful. When I woke up this morning, day 3, it was somewhat swolen and hurt, it was also somewhat red. Throughout the day it's been fine though. Just a small constant pain, kind of like a bruise, especailly when someone hits it. I guess thats the best way to tell you how it feels afterwards. As far as the piercining being done, I can tolerate pain very well. So, it wasn't a big deal. The biggest issues was shelling out $47 for it. I don't recomend buying the cleaner they sell, I had a cartilege piercing once and I bought the store's cleaner. It's not as good as ointment from the store, it's mostly just water and soap. But belly buttons are sensitive, the lady that did mine, told me to purchase Bactine. NEVER use Alcohol or Peroxide, all those do is dry out the inside of the piercing and cause scabs. Once the scabs are scratched off from the movingment of the piercing, you still have a open wound that can contract infection. I was also told to get a basic Dial anti-bacterial soap to clean it with. Wash it thoughly once you get out of the shower to make sure you have NO soap or shampoo in it. This is probibly the best time to q-tip clean. Most people shower in the morning or night, which is when it should be cleaned anyway. (morning and night, that is) NEVER get a new piercing, of any kind, without having a surgical steel bar. (or other form of jewlery). You'll risk an alergic reaction. Well, hope this all helps out. Day 2 was a little more painful. When I woke up this morning, day 3, it was somewhat swollen and hurt, it was also somewhat red. Throughout the day it's been fine though. Just a small constant pain, kind of like a bruise, especially when someone hits it. I guess thats the best way to tell you how it feels afterwords. As far as the piercing being done, I can tolerate pain very well. So, it wasn't a big deal. The biggest issues was shelling out $47 for it. I don't recommend buying the cleaner they sell, I had a cartilage piercing once and I bought the store's cleaner. It's not as good as ointment from the store, it's mostly just water and soap. But belly buttons are sensitive, the lady that did mine, told me to purchase Bactine. NEVER use Alcohol or Peroxide, all those do is dry out the inside of the piercing and cause scabs. Once the scabs are scratched off from the movement of the piercing, you still have a open wound that can contract infection. I was also told to get a basic Dial anti-bacterial soap to clean it with. Wash it throughly once you get out of the shower to make sure you have NO soap or shampoo in it. This is probably the best time to q-tip clean. Most people shower in the morning or night, which is when it should be cleaned anyway. (morning and night, that is) NEVER get a new piercing, of any kind, without having a surgical steel bar. (or other form of jewelry). You'll risk an allergic reaction. Well, hope this all helps out. You can IM me AOL at darkslay9 to talk about your piercing if you would like. hey guys guess what? i got my belly pierced it was soo cool and didnt hurt because i love needles. i sleep with them under my pillows and i stabbed the tooth fairy once.. ihtink she died but im sure. but ne wayz back on subject. i have this weird idsorder where i love to like my belly button it tastes sooo delisous you have no i idea just all yellow/green puss that comes out its HEAVENLY! omg. you should try it. it count for a 4 whole servings of VEGGIES can you believe that? well ne wayz. im a piromaniac its pretty damn fun piercing my friends in their sleep and then them waking up in pain and screaming in my ear IT HILARIOUS! i crack myself up.. i would have to say i am the best person in the world. next i wanna get my nipples piecred and im full grwon WOMEN>EWWIE lol jkjkjk im tired im to bed withmy needles. sleep tight little ones hee hee hee hee hee hee hee LOVE you guys,come over to my house sometime.. and maybe will..get to kno eachother...HAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAH love anne.;)

hey to anyone readingg this my name is amber fleming and i am know 14 when i got my belly button peirced i was 13 but let me tell you exactly what had happend... ok i went to the peircing place and they made me pick out a barbell that i wanted i picked a pretty diamond. after this i went and me and my mom and my bff went into this back room sort of thing and i sat on this chair the lady asked me if i was scared and told me not to be there was no need to be!! she had me lift my shirt up and tuck it under my bra!! when i did this she put a mark where she thought the bell ybutton ring would go! here is where i got really nervous. she simply laid me back and told me to breath in and when i breathed out she would stick the needle threw! so i listened to her and laid back she put a clamp on my belly button ande pulled it out alittle then she told me to breath in then breath out!! i breathed in very well (took a deep breath) then i breathed out and she stuck the needle in to tell you the truth i didnt feel anythinhg at the most i felt pressure you know how people say you feel one push you acually feel two!! you feel one go in half way and one go out but like i said its all just pressure!!! then you wait (just a sec.) and he/she gopes to get the barbell they pull the needle out from the top as they push the barbell in threw the bottom trust me it doesnt hurt at all!!! i have had it done know for about 3 months and i had no problems if you would like to ask me any questions i will be happy to write back to you within 2 hours my email address is s_l_falco@yahoo.com take it from me if you go and get yopur fears over with you will be glad you did! and you will also belive me that it didnt hurt one bit!!! as to getting it done i say good luck and you should look great when its done!

Hey, I got my navel pierced last July. I was so scared, I was literally shaking. It was my first piercing (My ears weren't even done!) But the place that I went to was very professional and clean. The needle is a good 4 inches long, and it's hollow, because a 14-gauge bar needs to go through that hole (Imagine a thick sewing needle) I didn't get any anesthetic, and I barely felt a thing. It wasn't even sore after. I would highly recommend it, however you will need to be responsible enough to clean it several times daily, as they have the tendency to get infected easily. Also, if you play a sport (I play volleyball) be sure to clean extra well and bandage it if you have to. Don't try to change the ring until it's completely healed, because you can tear it and make the piercing crooked...good luck!

Wel i just got my belly button pierced like 40 mins ago. im 13 nearly 14 in about 1 month and to be honest it hurt a lil bit but not loads i went and got it done at a shop in bulwell nottingham for �30 including a barbell. First i went in and i was abit nervous i wont say i wasnt i picked out a purple gemmed barbel then a women took my in a room and told me to lay down i was actually abit scared so i held my mums hands then she put the clamp on which wasnt as bad as people make out and then a spray that was supposed to help numb it but that didnt do anything so she put the needle in it was like a pinch/stinging and i felt the needle going threw my stomach that was the hard part then she put in the barbell after that i stood sraight up and looked at the aftercare than i was ready to go, mine looks great so far i just hope it doesnt get infected but to everyone out there whos not really skinny or just nervous about having it done go for it coz it doesnt hurt that bad and its all worth it after:D

hey guys. Okay, listen up. I've been SO scared for the past 2 months to get my belly button done. All of my friends have it done, and some of them say that it hurt, some say it doesnt at all. I got mine done about a week ago. After freaking myself out for weeks on end, it turns out that all you feel is a little pinch. I was so scared, so I talked to the doctor that was piercing my stomach and he told me that it doesnt hurt for most people, but some people that are very ticklish in their stomach area might feel it a bit more than someone who isn't. They lay you down on the table (I didn't even get my numbed), they put little clamps on so they can pierce it exactly straight (you feel the clamps more than the needle.) The clamps feel like pinching your stomach, and they remove those in no time anyway. Just don't look at what the doctor is doing and make sure you bring a responsible adult with you to make sure the precedure is going smoothly. If you keep your eyes closed, and imagine you are somewhere on a beach just chillen with your friends in your hott new bikini and belly button ring, and how good it looks, you'll be fine. So guys, it's all chill. Just remember to clean your ring and belly button every day so it doesn't get infected with chemicles from your shampoos and stuff when you shower. Plus, you aren't allowed to swim or come in contact with chlorine for atleast 2-3 months. It doesn't hurt... and if you're that scared about it, just take my advice. It's chill. ...x3 Alicia Kristen

i got my navel pierced last month. im 13 and i could only get it done in some places. sum advice from me is to get it done in a very friendly, quiet, and clean place and ask a lot of questions to see if your piercer knows what hes doing. in my opinion a 14 guage barbell is your best shot because it is most common. about the pain thing... basically its all about mentality. i wasnt scared before i did it and when it was time to get it pierced it didnt hurt. also the only thing i really felt was the clamps pinching me and i looked down and i was pierced. it shouldnt hurt at all or get infected if u clean it religiously (i use that ear piercing stuff and dial soap) and its definately worth it

Well....I went and got my belly button pierced about 5 hours ago. I was so scared that I felt like I was going to vomit. When I went back into the room, the guy marked me and then I layed back into the chair. He got out the clamps and told me to take a deep breath in. I was waiting for the piercing when he told me I was pierced.I was like what? That's it? I didn't even feel anything. They were so good. i didn't bleed or anything. I am so happy now and I am in no pain at all. So when people say that it hurt very bad, they are wrong...You only feel a little tony pinch and I didn't even feel that. Getting your ear pierced hurts a lot more...If you are thinking about getting it done, go do it. You have nothing to lose. Go ahead. Don't be scared. Trust me when you are done you will think you were stupid for being so scared. Hope you find this advice useful. GOOD LUCK <3

Hey whats up? ok yeah i got my belly button pierced like almost 2 weeks ago! and i was gonna write in this sooner but i forgot but here it is!........i went down to the piercing place and i was scared out of my mind i thought it was gonna hurt so bad so i went in there and this guy he came out and explained what he was doin and how to take care of it and stuff then i went back into the room and i was scared still but i got up on this table thing and he told me to take deep breaths cause thats why it hurts for some people is cause they flinch up and the nerves are tight so i was takin deep breaths and the only thing i felt was the needle go into my skin but it didnt hurt at all! i couldnt feel a thing! and the guy told me if i had ne problems with it to just come back and he'll fix it for free! and i was on my way! im serious guys it doesnt hurt at all! good luck oh yeah i would prolly go to a clean place! LARA ps. if you live in the Quad Citys then i recommend you go to Big River tattoos and body piercings thats were i went and it was really clean and the guy was super nice and explained everything really well! and everything he used was secure in an un-opened bag and then thrown away after use! so i would recommend there! good luck!

I had mine done on Friday and.....No way does it hurt at all. I did not even know that the needle was in. For anyone that says it hurts, you must have a low low tolerance for pain. You have to make sure that the person that is piercing you has been doing for awhile, no way do you want a newbie if you are nervous. I would recommend it to anyone. It was a little sore for the first day, now I can not even tell it was done after 3 days. If you are thinking of it and worried about it hurting...GO DO IT!!, and for all these girls that are trying to find some place to do it without your parents finding out.....they are just gonna make you take it out when they do find it and you will have to go thru it all over again...so do it the right way and just ask them, you may be surprised at what they say.

i got mine done 6 weeks ago saturday, it hurts quite alot, but its not to where u feel like your dying, i wasnt in a confertable postition to begain with, i was layin on 2 kitchen chairs. all i can say was that yes it hurts, mine stoped hurting for little bits of time when i jus kept still, it doesnt hurt as bad after u get it done an touch it, but it does hurt, but mine didnt hurt anymore when i got home from getting it done, it hurts when u turn it for the first time so i recomend doing it slowly, but make sure u turn it all the way both ways an then move it how u want to sit on your stomach, an i wouldnt lay down on it for the first month or so, or lay on ur side, i did those an my belly button ring wont stop going crooked, but i also havnt put a new belly button ring in it sence i got mine done, if theres anymore questions about it that anyone has im 15 an i have aim an yahoo both my sns are heyhunni1219 so if u have another question ask me thanks for readin lol kortni

This anwser is to McKenna .. It depends on what state you live in, like i live in Kentucky and you have to be 18 in order to get your'ebelly button pierced, but that's without an adult with you .. it's really up to your'eparents, If they say "NO" then your'epretty much screwed .. unless you do it bye yourself . But don't do that !! cus it could easily get infected .. i'm14 and i finally sucked up into asking my mom and dad if i could get my Navel pierced .. n they said YES ! lol .. Sooo i went to a place in KY. called "MOTHER'S TATTOOS" and they said that there is like a new law out that state's if you are under 18 you are "NOT" alowed getting any kind of piercing without an adult with you .. so mom told them that she was my mother and they gave her a paper saying that i had to have an I-DEE and they would have to see my birth cirtificate .. they said that this is done because they have to have proof that that is really your'emom .. but ya anyway'si G2g luv ya's!

dw about getting your bely done i didnt feel a thing and i didnt have any anasetic the only real bit you feel is when they put your belly bar in and thats nothing i got mine done when i was 12 and i am now 15 and i still have it and it great i did not regret it 1 bit just look after it and itll be fine if possible ask not to see the needle they told me they wouldnt show me the needle till after they did it. so good luck to all use people McKenna i got mine done when i was 12 and its fine to get it done at this age and i love mine you can get great kinds of belly bars and it doesnt hurt to get pirced if you have your ears done then you would be able to get your belly done its that simple

oh my gosh it does not hurt i promise well it didnt me anyway i got it done yesterday and i just sat there and my mom got hers done too and she hates needles and if she can do it anybody can... but what they do is they clean your belly button and then they make dots with a marker.. then they set you down in this chair and they put this little clamp on your belly button then they get this needle and stick it through your skin and then they get another needle and stick it in the hole of the other needle and pushes it back through thats the part that stings a little then the take the other needle out and put the ring in and then you are done.. but you have got to take good care of eat. sea salt is really good for it just mix in water and put it in a cup and hold it there for about two or three minutes.. but it felt good to me cause i like needles like that goin in to me it doesnt hurt me at all...

hiya im toni and if you need to no anything about piercings im the girl to ask, im only 12 and i alredi have my lip, tounge, belly, and nose done, pain: well when i had mine done and they didnt freeze it all i felt was a little prick as the needle went in and b4 i new it it was done, i reccomend not to have it froze because the freeze spray can cause rednesss and swelling. care: to care for your piercing just get a cotton wool bud and gentley clean abound it with some salt water, dont waist your money on antiseptic besause it just makes it sore and red, salt water will clear it all up. prosejure: 1: they will mark you belly with a pen 2: they will lie you down and put some cleaner on such as iodine 3: they will put a steel clamp on you skin 4: they will insurt the needle 5: they will put the bar in and skrew the top on it its dont in 5 easy painless steps and it is so worth it. :it costed me 25-30 pounds : befor you have it dont make sure you eat properly. :change it after 4-6 weeks, when your belly feels ready i reccommend not b4 4 weeks doe. : seriousy dont worrie its over b4 you know it and it looks amazing. :aslong as you keep it clean and clean it with salt water 3 times a day for about 3 weeks everything will be fine, dont mess with it for about 3 day after you have it don, then practise moveing it up and down and turning it around best wishes toni if you need any more info or if you are worried at all email me on... kiss_me_if_u_dare452@hotmail.com

okay well alright i don't know if anybody uses this anymore but yea okay i got my belly button pierced like 4 weeks ago and what they do is if your under age then they make a parent/guardian sign the papers and then they take you back into the room and you lay down and they clean your belly button with this orange stuff that a couple of people had mentioned and then they mark on your belly with this marker and then tell you to lay down on the bed type thing and then they put the clamp on and squeeze it and then they tell you to breathe in then breathe out and right when you breathe out the needle is through!and then they put in the ring that they selected in my case and your done! yes i know it's awesome! if you have any questions email me oyemicanto2006@yahoo.com thanks!

Okay I had mine done a few days ago and I was kinda scared but really wanted it done and all...So i stood up and the guy mike marked me and then laid me down and put the clamp on and i was use to the pain but it felt weird then he said breath in and breath out SLOW!!! and i did and then my needle kinda got stuck but it did not hurt that much u felt like stinging for a few seconds then he put a 13gaude ring and its ugly but once its healed (bout a month before i can change it) i'm so happy i got it done<33 I think u should get it done in the winter time cause if u get it done in the summer u cant swim and all...i love it and it was worth it...it costed $50 because i was underage with my mom sighing and... I got my belly button pierced almost a year ago. I didn't get any type of anesthetic on it, so I could feel everything. What they did for me, was first, they mark the place where the needle is going to go in, with a marker. Then, you lay down and he cleans the area a bit. He puts the clamp on to hold the skin where the needle will go in. Then, you inhale and as you exhale, he pushes the needle through your skin. Then he cleans it, and it's all over. I personally didn't even feel the clamp (some say it hurts more than the needle, but I disagree). The needle going in felt like a pinch that lasted about one second. It was nothing, and for anyone worried about the pain of getting it done, don't worry. The anticipation and worrying before you actually get it done is FAR worse than when it actually happens. I was freaking out as I was waiting, and once it was over, I laughed at how nervous I was before because it didn't hurt at all.

well i have 3 piercings, i have two piercings on my lobe of the ear and on the my left cartage on the ear, and i know one person said it hurts alot less then the cartilage getting pierced on your ear? then it dont hurt maybe a pinch i donno, but i want mine done but then again i dont for i dont take pain easy, i am called "wimpy" and i donno if i want it done, my best friend got hers done yesterday i didn't ask her if it hurt but i will. and sometime this month i might get it done but i am only 12, and my friend is 12 also i am nervous if i can get it done or if it will hurt alot, some people say it will but most say it wont and when i get it done sometime i will post saying if it hurt, but i had a theory people was just trying to scare people so they wouldn't get it done. well i have read lots of things saying how its done it seem hurtful but then again it dont but i'd probably think about it before you get it done..... and does anybody have any other tips about it? does it hurt more if you get the ring or barbell ?

Hi girls, My mum said i could get my belly pierced since i was 16. I'm now 18 and have a tattoo..I finally decided to get my belly pierced the other day. I can tell you now, getting your belly pierced doesn't hurt. I'm athletic/skinny. The only part that hurt for me was the clamp. And a word of advice. If you ever decide to get a tattoo---make sure you know that you can live with it on you for the REST of your life, check out every tattooist studio around you- don't just stop at one because they do tattoo's cheaper. A good studio should look similar to a dentist--clean and hygenic! And check that they use a fresh needle!! Also! make sure your parents agree, and TAKE THE TIME choosing what you want--DO NOT...EVER tattoo a boyfriend/lover's name on you. EVER!

I depends on a lot of things on if it will hurt or not. I have heard that if you are ticklish there, then you will feel it. For some people it hurts really badly and for others they can't even feel it.

Getting your belly pierced does not hurt at all it's just like someone appling pressure but what kinda hurts is when they put the clamps on to hold the skin now the clamps hurt more than the actual piercing. I got mine done about 5 months ago and now it is perfect!! so if you want it please get it done. you won't regret it

okay, my friend got hers done and she's a little chubby, but not much. she said it didn't even hurt but the needle was long. so she just closed her eyes and thought of something else. they pierce it when you exhale (breathe out) i want mine done, but my mom doesn't' think i should. . so ya.. peace out! holler!!!!!!!!!!!!

im getting my belly button pierced like this month and yah im like kindda strong i guess but yah i like i am kinda think it will hurt in a way but i dont really no im trying to lower the age that i have to be i no i can make the age change its 13 but im not turning 13 for 5 months so yah wish me luck on getting the age range lowed peace out

i got my belly pierced when i was only 12 he he when i was lying on the table i was like like o my god wat am i doing but then they put this water stuff on me and then put the needle in and evry1 was like that it i didnt believe them coz i didnt feel it 1 bit so it didnt hurt 1 bit and i was 12

I am planning on getting my belly button pierced, but I don't know if I can or not. You can define my ribs very clearly and my stomach is concave. Can I still get it done, does any1 know?

i got mine done like 2 hours ago, it felt like someone pintched me, didnt really hurt....i got a ring though, not a bar bell, and someone told me it was a really bad idea....is that true?

I am going to get mine done in about a week. and I dont know what to do. I am freaking out about it and I want someone to comfort me. I dont know if it will hurt or not because I have heard it dosnt, and I also heard that it does. my friend is coming with me to get it done, but thats not much help. can anyone offer any advice to comfort me on the day I get it done? thank you so so so so so much!

im getting my belly peiced at the end of this month im a bit nerves but excited too. i think haveing ur belly done looks cool and i cant wait!! no pain no game! it cant hurt that bad or so many girls wouldnt have it done

Hey all! I just got my bellybutton done 4 days ago and it still hurts! It hurt really bad to get it done, then didn't hurt afterward or the next day. Now I can't even touch it, or slouch! And its red...But I'm sure it'll be fine! The needle actually hollows out your belly and then the stick the bar in. So its pretty big! But GO FOR IT!

Hey, I'm getting mine pierced tomorrow! I'm not sure if it will hurt or not but I'm not scared. I'm just happy to get it done. The only thing I'm worried about is it getting infected, but I think if I take care of it, it will be fine. I'll tell you how it went!

I am going to get it done sometime next month, I go to http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/07-navel/bme-pg07.html and I read all of these peoples experiences and 1 out of 30 say it hurts. I am a little chubby (Only a little bit) and I am going to get it done, and I'm only 13 yrs. old! My friend, Kim, did hers herself (I couldn't do that), I look around my neighborhood and I can't find anywhere piercing places. My other friend said just let Kim do it, buy a belly ring and she'll do it, plus you won't have to pay alot and you don't gotta worry about getting Aids or nothing. I will only let her do it as a last resort. Well, good luck on the piercing, and wish me luck too!

Well I got mine done yesterday, it really doesn't hurt at all. unless your very tense, don't follow directions of the people, or y'knowdo something stupid. I'm 5'7 and 98lbs so weight has nothing to do with it. You should get it done with a 14gauge ring, it may not be the cutest but it's by far the best! If you have lots of questions I'll try and respond.

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanna get my belly button pierced, and I think my mom might let me, but I'm only 12 so is it even possible? And one of my friends did it herself and said that it hurt REALLY bad and one of my other friends got it done professionally and also said that it hurt REALLY bad.

Well that really depends on what state you live in some states wont pierce unless your 16. It doesn't hurt at all like I said unless your tense and scared. If your having feelings like that maybe your not ready to have it done. Even if it was to hurt it only hurts for a moment. Take it from me it doesn't hurt. Also your friend maybe stretching the truth to seem braver. I promise it didn't hurt for me. so if your relaxed and have a good piercer (just because they're "professsional" doesn't make them good.) you'll be fine

I got mine done yesterday, i kinda hurt not really they take this prong thin and they clip it to your skin then they take this needle and shove it through(no i was not numbed) then they were done it was real quiz... its kinda like getting your ears pierced but It hurts...just a little bit more... ~Tina~

Honestly your going to hear 50% of people say it hurts and 50% say it doesn't. I personaly don't think it hurts. However if your not sure about it wait a while. You should only do it if you feel ready. If you want it done as bad as your all saying, then dealing with the "pain" shouldn't be a big deal. You know what they say, no pain no gain. However there is no pain! ^-^

hey people i am getting my belly button pierced this Saturday --after Halloween and i have heard it hurts and that it doesnt...but i am very tolerant to pain because i have pierced it my self 2 times with out ice and do u think it will hurt me??? and i have a little scar tissue and they might have to pierce through that ..will it hurt ...thanxs !!! I got mine done about a year ago... and let me tell you, IT DOESNT HURT AT ALL! omfg, i didnt even feel it go in or anything! i even went to a theme park afterwards, it didn't hurt! you do not need anesthetic... getting your cartilage (top of ear) pierced HURTS A HELL OF A LOT MORE than getting your navel done! it's painless! trust me! but you MUST keep it clean, and it will ooze puss alot... but other than that, its great!!
