I heard on the internet that how long a hedgehog lives varies on the hedgehog, some books say 3-5 years other books say 10-12 years, it said to keep in mind that it may only live for 5 years but be prepared to take care of it no matter how long it lives.  In away kind of like parakeets, I've raised parakeets all my life, some lived for only 3 years some lived for only 7 and some lived for 13

i herd that hedgehogs usually live about 7-10 and even to 14! For a little creature they sure do live long if you take care of them!
