law - Radar gun
After pulling someone over (in CA) for speeding.  If the officer says that he got you on radar going xx mph and were in effect speeding.  If the person doesn't feel he or she was driving at the speed the officer says they were and they ask the officer to show them the evidence (i.e. radar gun w/speed in it) does the officer have to show evidence?  Or do you just have to pay the ticket b/c he's a police officer and what he says goes?

Basically you are correct. While there are ways to contest your ticket, almost none of them attack the officer or the radar reading directly. Most of them are procedural and result in dismissal. In CA you start by filing a Trial by Declaration if you decide against traffic school.
