Well, it depends on how you raise it and treat it.  If the pitt bull is raised or taught to be aggressive when it's little then it will be aggressive.  But, if it's cared for properly then you don't really need to worry about anything.

Pitt Bulls are only mean and agressive if they were trained from puppies to fight and be mean, sure they are protective dogs but they will never attack for just any reason. They are also very territorial dogs and they usually don't like other dogs.

Can be vicious and aggressive.  Growing up we always had dogs.  It wasn't until we raised our pitt bull that I understood the difference between nature vs. nurture.  After 8 years of perfect behavior, our pitt took a drastic turn and viciously attacked our horses.  Please understand that we NEVER trained our dogs to fight or be aggressive.  That is a myth that it is the owner's fault.  Pitt Bulls are not family dogs.

Pitt Bulls can be like any other dog, it is just how they are trained.  if you train them to be mean and fight, then thats what they are going to do.  Any dog can bite anyone for any reason.  People just give pitt bulls bad names when they fight them they are great dogs and great pets.

I have two Pitts and they are wonderfully playful and energetic.  I have one that is two and one that just turned one and I have had no behavior problems at all.  They act just like any normal happy dog.  They love running and retrieving things also.

I have a 5 month old pitt bull who is very loving and playful...very smart and can already sit, shake, lay down, stay, and stand up. She was potty trained by a month old, but mostly is a baby that loves to give kisses.

it depends on how they are treated. if you love on them a lot and don't beat on them they are really good natured. but if they are beat on or mistreated they are highly mean.

they are typically very active dogs that love to play and run.  they are typically highly smart and learn easily.  they can be very loving, cuddling, happy dogs, if raised correctly.  if raised incorrectly (beatings, starved for food, water, and other forms of abuse and neglect)they can be very mean, nasty dogs.  Some pits love to play with any dog and others need to be a one dog only family.  I have 2 pitts....the oldest (15 months) is a female.  she is stubborn, but will let my 2 year old do anything to her (pet, play with a ball, be sat upon, shut in or out of her crate)  and the youngest is 14 weeks old, a male who is a cuddle bug and loves laying on the couch, giving kisses, and playing tug of war with the other dog....it all depends upon how they are bred and upon how they are raised....i know of a person who  hasn't given their dog any vaccines, doesn't take the dog out for a walk, to play, or even to go to the bathroom...that dog is neglected and is a prick and tempermental....

Pitt bulls are predisposed to be dog aggressive.  However, like every other breed they behave how you raise them.  They are mildly hyper and very loving.  Contrary to popular belief thy are not monsters.  They were actually originally bred to be extremely loving to animals.  My pitt wouldn't hurt a fly, although he is still a puppy.  But his, father if you will, has kids around him constantly and never so much as growled at them.  Pitt bulls are very playful dogs and can be wonderful family dogs, if and only if, they are raised and treated with love and care.  The owner must be responsible and not reinforce any of their genetic predispositions, such as being dog aggressive.
