Sibes should be fed a high quality food with a low soy content since they do not digest soy very well. You should also pay attention to the Zinc content since they do require Zince moreso than other breeds. I would suggest doing some research on the fillers used in the dog foods commonly available in discount and grocery stores. You might be surprised what the ingredients are (Ugh!!). Pound for pound you'll find the higher quality foods are just as affordable since your sibe will eat less and it's a whole lot better for them. I feed my Sibes Nutro (www.nutroproducts.com)and am very pleased with the results. It has improved their coats and cut down on shedding as well as provide the nutrients they require.

Give me a break! "huskies should have a low soy high zinc content food?" Blah, blah, blah. Let me tell you something, huskies are not made of porcelain! They can pull a sled all day in sub zero degree weather living only on a fish a day.(that isn't an exaggeration) And you're complaining about dog food? Go ahead and buy the expensive stuff if you want. It's definitely not bad for them but don't complain about other brands. Some of us just don't have the money to buy stuff that costs $8 for a 10 lb bag! And it's not like cheaper brands taste bad. My younger siblings eat that stuff when we're not looking. They love it! Mix meal scraps in with the food like I do and your dog will get all the nutrients he needs!

Do you mean what should you feed them? I feed mine PURINA dog food. They like it and it keeps them healthy,happy, and energetic. You don't have to but some way over priced food to maintain a healthy dog. Bye! Tanisha

They eat bunnies, any wild life they can find and what ever they catch or find that has been caught. If they see a human they will eat you if they are really hungary.

come on none of u are right siberian huskys eat many things in the wild but when they are used as pets they should be given good food from the stores they dont have to be expensive or cheap as long as they are given healthy food so they can live long and happy.

sorry Buddie but huskies don't eat bunnies they eat dog food like any other dog the only defenses is that this dogs are used to push a sled and there the most beautiful dogs.

The will eat anything. My guess is rabbits, ptarmigan, anything wild life they can even eat you! OMG! There sweat and those dogs are the best i mean don't you think. Well they are o me anyways BYE know.

i think none of you know what you are saying huskies will basically eat anything and if u want them to be healthy then u feed them healthy stuff but they basically eat like us so na na na na

huskies a very in responsible animals they eat anything you put in front of them so it is good to feed them normal animals because that is what there habitat is that is what they are normaly ment to to eat so go huskies 100% lovable

basically huskies do need a large amount of food as you have to think about there size and the amount of exercise then do. but feeding them scraps may seem like a treat but like any dog in the long run they will caught up with them and could cause health issues.

my dog, sable of the north, eats mostly everything i give her but she hates potato chips. she thinks they will ruin her figure. she also loves wearing makeup. she always gets jealous when i put it on.

my husky is diabetic and can only eat prescription dog food. I would alway give a dried dog food as this is alot easier on the digestive track and it gives less odourless and firm stools. Hills science plan is among the best and your husky will shed less and in general be alot happier and healthier.

i have a sibe huskey and he eats pretty much what we do but he is also fed dried food and he is happy and content his coat is lovley and shiny my husky is called demon and he is the best friend i have ever had

I have a husky and I go to pets-mart and by the Senior food for old dogs. In the movie 8 below the dogs ate the whale but I think that is gross! If you saw that movie, the dogs were very cute but the man eating seal was very scary!!!!!It was sad at the end but most of the dogs were still alive including his and my favorite dog, Maya.Please give me a good reading!!!!!! Thank you!

ok can we get to the point here please. Can anyone list the stuff Sibs eat. PLEASE include regalur foods like raw meat or friuts i have no clue what they eat. DONT list brands because all brands have some garbage and dirty stuff in it and I dont want my Sib to live in a short life - face it its true regualar foods are better because brands are junk just like MC and burgerking they keep you unhealthy.

my siberiean doesn't eat much but i feed him bakers and he does eat it every other day but he always leaves the creamy balls he likes raw carrots any fresh meat and he loves getting everything i throw in the bin out i just wish i could get him a food that he really likes

my huskie is a very loving and playfull 17mth old but is a lot of hard work he chews anything from mobile phones to clothes and fences and he pees lots and its normally in circles in the patio also he seems always to be moulting which is a pain for the mums i would love to let him off the lead but if i did i know he would run for his life i thought of getting rid but just looking at his beautifull face my heart melts after all thats hes done i still love him

From the animal movies I've watched, I especially think that Huskies should eat the dog food from the Beneful commercial. I think that dog food will keep your Husky alive for many years. But don't feed your Husky too many human food because they can get sick.

Huskies are natural predators so they should be kept on a leash at all times when out of backyard with 6 foot high fence. Just give them dog food you idiots
