I HAVE A 1988 LEBARON THAT QUIT RUNNING
IT IS SETTING AN 11,12 1ND 16 CODE AS SOON AS THE SWITCH IS TURNED ON
I FOUND THAT THE FUSIBLE LINK THAT FEEDS TERM 41 ON THE SMEC WAS BLOWN.
I REPAIRED IT AND IT BLEW AGAIN, FOR TOUBLE SHOOTING I PUT A 15 AMP CIR BRKR IN THE CIRCUIT AND FOUND THAT THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE SHORT AS SOON AS YOU TURN ON THE SWITCH BUT THEN IT CLEARS.
WHEN YOU START SPINNING THE ENGINE THE SHORT COMES BACK IN.
YOU CAN DISCONNECT THE BLACK DIST PLUG AND THE SHORT GOES AWAY SO I REPLACED THE HALL PICK-UP BUT THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.
IT SEEMS THAT WHATEVER THE COMPUTER TURNS ON AFTER IT RECEIVES A SIGNAL FROM THE DIST IS THE PROBLEM.
ANY SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED

Do you have fuel psi. Your fuel pump could be shorting out. You did say its there and it goes away. I think its the fuel pump.
