In the movie Tombstone - What did Doc Halliday mean when he said "It's true what they say about your feet" as he dying in the hospital?

You can't feel them anymore as you die.

he was referring to the idea that gunfighters "die with their boots on"

By saying "It's true what they say about your feet" Doc was implying that it is true that one cannot move his feet when they are dying....as he knows he was dying and cannot move his feet.
