Don't know. Mine is doing the same thing except it's a 1991 Dodge Dynasty. The battery gauge clicks or moves right along with the turn signal -- same rhythmn!  Hmm. Of course now, my Dynasty just died.

I also own a Dynasty and it does the same thing. The Dynasty's alternator is not all that powerful, maybe only around 90 amps, and what causes this is the turn signal making a draw on your battery. It's perfectly normal, I'm a Dynasty owner and I've had mine for 7 years and it's done it all along...

The light bulbs in your turn signals use some current (measured by the amp. gauge) when they are on. (They use zero amps when they are off).

The amp. gauge should move up when the lights are on and down when the lights are off. (Because your turn signal makes the lights go on-off-on-off, the amp. gauge goes up-down-up-down.)

I have encountered the same problem. It almost seems as thought the altenator is not rated at a loaded output which would eliminate this concern.
