I have a male and female American Eskimo Spitz who are expecting a litter in about three weeks.  The female is registered with the American Kennel Club and the male is registered with the United Kennel Club. Which organization can I get the pups registered with?

I'm not sure but I believe u can register them with either one. Now I have a question 4-u. How do you get that brown look from underneath their tear-ducts? Someone just gave me one but he has that brown under his eyes. Please e-mail me @ cspxmp2@unadial.com

Maybe you should think about these things before you decide to breed. I doubt you'll be able to register with either without both parents being registered.

I don't know if the puppies will be registerable with the AKC, because I recall the AKC litter registration form requesting the AKC numbers of both the sire and the dam. I am unfamiliar with the UKC, so I can't say anything about that. I know, however, of a place where you can register your puppies and the parents for about $30. It's not a major kennel or a highly recognized registration, but at least the puppies will have papers that way. You can visit purepuppy.org to find out more about that particular registration process.

According to the AKC Registration Requirements, Your litter can't be registered with them because the Sire isn't registered with them. Also, your puppies cannot be registered individually because they are ineligible for Litter registry. This is unfortunate for this litter, but if you wish to become a breeder, you can get your male's registration transferred to the AKC, this will allow all subsequent litters to be eligible. I am unfamiliar with the UKC, so I can't tell you if they are eligible for that organization, for more info about the AKC'sregistration policies, etc, visit their website at AKC.org and click the small link title "Registration"

If you plan on showing your dogs, anywhere in the world, then the United Kennel Club would be better to sign them up with.  I have a German Shepherd that I show and hes signed with the U.k.c. He'swell appreciated for that when we go out of the Americas, like in England, but in the Americas I recommend the A.K.C. That's what all the other kennel club dogs do ... sign in with the A.K.C.

The A.K.C. will get you in higher standards for the Purina sponsored shows, they like that stuff, all that high class, pedigree jazz, so I say that you go with the A.K.C., K? Got that?
