World war II began in 1939-1945 because of Extreme Nationalistic countries(In other words Many countries though they were better than others) So countries Like Germany, Russia and Italy only to name a few began taking control over smaller and much weaker countries. While all this was going on else where in Germany there was much bigger problems erupting. A military man name Adolf Hitler disliked Jews to the extreme. He made a political party know as the Nazis and was used to make all Jews suffer, but only the jews. Homosexuals, Catholics, and anyone else who disagreed with his ways of ruling and put in concentration camps with lead to the beginning of the holocaust.But to make a long story short. The war didn't actually began until Germany Bombed Polland which was know as the Blitzkrieg. I know I wrote a lot but Im a History Freak =)

I believe one of the main reasons German society moved towards war in 1939 was due to the perceived inequities of the Versailles Treaty. The Versailles treaty coupled with the worldwide Great Depression of the 1930s, enabled the Nazis in Germany to ride a wave of mass public discontent to power, and to set in place their fascist forms of dictatorship, re-militarization and status as a world power. The Nazis claimed they could free Germany from international subjugation. Hitler re-militarized the Rhineland, the Ruhr, and overturned several territorial dispositions which were enacted by the treaty. On September 1, 1939, Adolf Hitler's German war machine and the Nazi Party, invaded Poland according to an agreement with the Soviet Union, which joined the invasion on September 17. Of course hitler later turned on the Russians. The United Kingdom and France responded by declaring war on Germany on September 3, initiating a widespread naval war. Germany rapidly overwhelmed Poland, then Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium and France in 1940, and Yugoslavia and Greece in 1941. Italian, and later German, troops attacked British forces in North Africa. By summer of 1941, Germany had conquered France and most of Western Europe, but it failed to subdue the United Kingdom due to the resistance of the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. World War two was fully on it's way. The sneak attack by Japan in December of 1941 on Pearl Harbor put the icing on the cake for a full scale world War. The aggressors however were defeated and the war came to an end when the united states dropped two A-bombs on Japan in 1945.

For the latter, see the Related Question link to the right. There are many views on exactly when and where World War 2 started, and what started it. The War in Europe One view is that there was only one world war. It started in 1914 and finished in 1945, with a break from 1918-1939 while the Germans regrouped. (Kaiser Wilhelm was very similar to Hitler: a hate-filled expansionist with visions of world domination.) More commonly, people believe World War 2 started in 1939. On August 31, 1939, Hitler and the Nazis staged a Polish attack on a minor German radio station in order to justify a German invasion of Poland. On September 1, Hitler declared war on Poland stating one of his reasons for the invasion was because of "the attack by regular Polish troops on the Gleiwitz transmitter." France and Britain had a defensive pact with Poland. This forced France and Britian to declare war on Germany, which they did on September 3. The War in the Pacific Some say World War 2 started in late 1931 with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. This is sometimes referred to as the Mukden Incident. The major invasion of China by Japan was in 1937. Japan had long been coveting mainland resources, invading China and (en route) Korea for centuries. Under the guise of The Co-Prosperity Sphere (8-Lands Under One Umbrella), Japan plotted an imperial takeover of Asia and the Pacific in the style of Western imperialism less than a century earlier. The US opposed this movement and placed embargoes on Japan. Searching for supplies and rebelling against US intervention, Japan embarked on its Oriental conquest. Hoping to keep the US Air Force out of Japan's way, Admiral Yamamoto led the attack on Pearl Harbor. Unfortunatley they opened fire 30 minutes before the proclamation of war was officially delivered, so many viewed it as a violation of military convention (Adm. Yamamoto regretted this fact; he admired Western military practices). Note that one reason many people say WWII started in 1939 by Hitler's invasion of Poland instead of by Japan in 1937 is because the former is the moment when the first main Allied nation declared war on an Axis nation (Britain declares war on Germany). Rather than be specific and say the first shots of origin started with Japan's invasion, it is pointed out that no main Allied nation had declared war at that time. WWII was started because of several reasons: The Treaty of Versailles created a burden on Germany, they were resentful of it. England,France couldn't agree. The reparation demand that was put on Germany ($33 billion). England took over the Ruhr due to Germany default on the reparation demand. Inflation was soaring through out Germany. The U.S. got involved after Japan bomb Pearl Harbor on Dec 7 1941, soon after the bombing the U.S. joined the allies to fight in Europe.

World War II started because it was Adolf Hitler's plan to Conquer the world. And with that plan he decided he would need some help and that's when Japan stepped in. Germany and Japan worked together like Peanut Butter and Jelly, but soon the United States stepped into play and destroyed their horrific plan. Then in 1945 Germany surrendered and soon after Hitler killed his family and then killed himself too.

The official date considered as start of WWII is German's attack on Poland on September 1, 1939. Before that date, Germany annexed Austria and part of Czechoslovakia, but no major fighting occurred. Also before that date Italy attacked and occupied Ethiopia, but this war usually is not considered a part of WWII. Americans got involved in WWII after Japan's attack on Perl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941.

World War II started because of: Germany had the Treaty of Versailles to worry about, they could not have a large army, they had to pay back for the war, etc. and they felt like the treaty was humiliating them, that's where Adolf Hitler steps in, he took advantage of their distress and said that he could make everything better, that Germany was not to blame for the war. Adolf Hitler was already a little bit in power before, but afterwords, he was high chancellor of Germany, he was the Fuhrer. ("Father") In World War II, he tried to rid of all Jews, and anyone who disagreed with him. America got involved in the war when pearl harbor was bombed, Dec 7 1941.

World War II started for a few different reasons. One, was because Germany felt that the Treaty of Versailles was an unfair agreement, since they had to pay billions of dollars for the war. Another reason is one we should all know...Pearl Harbor. This brought the United States into the war because Japan attacked our military in Hawaii - December 7, 1941 Hitler also wanted to take over the world, so when he started treating the Jews terribly unfairly, the war began to start.

world war II started in 1856 and finished in the year 2020. it all started because the pumpkins took over the pineapples and decided that that wasn't enough! THE PUMPKINS WANTED TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! so, the apples and pears united with the carrots to fight these dreaded pumpkins, who fought alongside the corn and the oranges. it all ended quite nicely with cream and fruit salad.

world war II started the trade in magical pixie dust dissappeard and the world found its addiction to be overpowering. violent outbursts occured and the pixies got angry and began a war. the pixie king, better known as hitler, decided he wanted to take over the world. this war ended last week, with the pixies triumphing over all.

because Hitler was a dog an ugly dog who liked to hump other dogs the other dogs cried and cried but did not tell any one for fear of been humped again, all of a sudden the owner of the dogs decided that it was not right for Hitler to be humping his dogs and so decided to give him a smack on the tip on his nose now Hitler did not like this and so he bit back and so the beginning of World War 22

world war II started because Germany thought their punishment was too hard and when Hitler came along they built up their army again & tried to take over the world. Japan joined them. America didn't want to get involved but Japan attacked their navy at Pearl Harbour so then they were in the war!
