I am interested in getting a Great Dane, do they jump fences? I have a 3-4 foot chain link fence, what are the chances of one jumping over? I also have a very laid back Siberian Husky, would they get along??

Your Chances are good that the Dane will clear this fence with ease. Mine clears a 5ft wall. My Dane is a sissy with our Jack Russell who bullies the pants off him. Our Labrador however, is bullied by the Dane. I would make a guess that it depends very much on the characters of all dogs involved as to whether or not they will get on.

My mother has a 3 year old dane and he has never jumped the fence.  They also just "inherited" a pomeranian and the two of them get along great.

I have a male great dane who I can keep out of certain rooms in the house, such as the kitchen while preparing dinner, by just putting up a simple baby gate.  I'm assuming it depends on the dog. My dane just doesn't realize he can get over the baby gate. He could scale a 5 ft fence, but he doesn't know that!

I have a 3 year old great dane named olivia. i have just recently started jumping her over 2" fences. I am interested in doing this because I am an equestrian, and have jumped well over 4" feet on my horse. She has never jumped ur 3" fence. But she could easily do it, but has never even tried. It depends on the manner of the dog.
