Can you please tell me how often my shih tzu's anal glands...

Can you please tell me how often my shih tzu's anal glands should be be cleaned?

Healthy glands are important! At worst case scenerio they should be taken care of each time they are groomed (at least once every two months) as a preventitive measure. Each tzu is different so I would consult your vet to see if your tzu may need more attention (or maybe less).

I wonder about this as well, I adopted  5yr old. When I took him to be groomed for the first time the groomer said his anal glands had never been expressed or his ear hair plucked another necessity. Any advice on this?
