Hi..you most likely have the famous fake note with the serial numbers of 8894.Thousand of these fakes exist and they have no value. Pete

Uh pete i did some research to prove you wrong and i found that that is false info. There were no fake 1000 dollar bills because the government wasnt stupid enough to make very many of them. Small shops and stores would not take any bills higher than 100s and today its still like that. the 1000 dollar bill was a mistake and the government realized that, so they had them collected and stored away. the only other place that has a 1000 bill is las vegas they have one for viewing in a history tour. So dont try to make things up when you dont know what your talking about ty. <(''<)kirby_m4n(>'')>

We have one of those $1000 #8894 bills with the 6 men, 3 on each side. It says 17 months after date THE BANK OF THE UNITED STATES promise to pay to ? or order One Thousand Dollars in New York, Philadelphia DEC. 15th 1840. two Signatures at the bottom. Then some horse and clouds and shield insignia between the two signatures. We also have other confederate money, family lived in home over 100 years. Would really like to know what this is worth???? Anyone. Maybe just a souvenir. Thanks

Well kirby man your an idoit because he said "famous fake NOTE" not bill. I have one of thies to and it is a NOTE not a bill so why don't you go back to school so u can lern to read. You also contradicted you self "There were no fake 1000 dollar bills because the government wasn't stupid enough to make very many of them. " wtf is that? So next time before you try to tell people they are wrong make sure you have all the facts.

I have one of those bills, where can i find more information? i live in mexico and this bill have found buried in a box in california field near San Francisco by my grandfather`s brother. the box had around 100 bills that were distributed. My gran father gave me two months ago. any information is wellcome. Thanks.
