My nephew passed away of SIDS last February. My sister is pregnant again. I have found nowhere about the odds of having 2 SIDS babies in the same family. All I have read is that they are considered a "high risk for SIDS" baby if their sibling died of it. Please help me! April

They say among all the so called risk factors (which I'll just add that 80-85% of SIDS deaths don't fit into these categories) that there is an increased risk of a SIDS sibling ......... I have talked to about 200 SIDS parents so far, and none of them have had 2 SIDS deaths in their families........ only the one. I hope this helps a bit ....... I'm sorry for your loss as well:(

There are thousands of theories and beliefs about what SIDS is or is not.......... If you believe that these are true causes and that it is a quick fix and statement to say " Here are the causes of SIDS" then this is what's wrong with the world's outlook on SIDS..... we need to find definitive causes based on proper research in order to find a true common link with SIDS before we can hope to find cures.... It so disappoints me when people think that they know when they truly do not:(

i am a mother who lost her 2 week old to it.there is nothing you can do but love and take care of them. she died three years ago. i am pregnant again, i am not scared they are gods children.all i can do is love him and cherish what time i have with him so you do the same. god will take care of you.

I think its sad that babies died i had to babies die in my family
