I had my nose pierced 1 1/2 yrs. ago. I believe it was done at a poor angle and has never really healed. It still hurts alot to change the jewelery and gets red at times. Will this ever heal? What should I be doing? Thankyou.

alcohol is the worse thing to put on your nose piercing.  Go back to the place that did it and ask her if she has the soap that you mix with water they use.  it is especially for nose piercing.  If it was done with a gun then you need to go to some one else and have them do it with a 16 or 18 gage hollow needle. the gun does not take the skin out and allow the room for your nose ring.  the tissues in your nose do not stretch like the ones in your ear lobes

You could have an allergic reaction to the piece. Use antibacterial soap and also get some non iodized sea salt found at any grocery store. After cleaning with the soap, put a couple of tsp of the salt in warm water and pour  on the outside of the piercing. Also try using A and D ointment.

well when it was pierced if you used alcohol to clean it or poroxide or anything like that, thats why because that dries it out, but if you didn't i would say for you to go back to the place that did it and ask them.

OK, you have got to trust me on this, getting your nose done with a gun can damage the sensitive flesh in your nose. Yes a gun may hurt less, but it's like pushing a big, dull needle into a thick winter blanket, it ruins it! But a needle has a sharp, quick pain that allows the gem to be put on immediately. If you want to play it safe, go to a professional and get it done by a needle. You can even look it up! I did and it really helped me.

please dont use peroxide. Peroxide DOES keep the piercing clean, but it alsp prevents the hole from ever properly healing by killing all the helpful healing cells. That's why "Kayla"s piercing squished.
