I recently purchased a 2 month old chi.  When i brought him home he was having normal number 2's.  Now after a few days they are really runny like water.  What's causing it and what can i do to fix the problem?

Change in food or water possible.  Are you giving him the same food the breeder did?  Do you have softened water whereas the breeder didn't?  Any change like that could upset the delicate digestion.  Also, keep him away from milk products, cows milk is very good for giving dogs diarrhea.

Take puppy to the vet and bring a sample of the poo.  Puppy may have a parasite.  It's a good idea to get him to the vet anyway to set up a schedule of vaccinations and make arrangements for neutering (please do this, the dog doesn't know what he's missing and will be a much happier and calmer companion).

I had the same problem. I was feeding my baby chi the same food the breeders were before I bought him. The difference was, he was having normal stools when we brought him home for the first few days, but then he started eating more. There was corn in his dry food which gave him constant diarrhea. We changed his food to natural choice, and his diarrhea cleared up within a couple days.
