I just had my second baby February 20, 2004 and I was constantly dilating by the time I got to my doc. I was already 5c. I recieved my epidural by 6c and recieved the worst shock through my body along with involuntary movement of my left side of my body. The numbness did not last and I end up having to have an emergency c-section while being put to sleep. What causes the body shocks during epidurals?
