My friend's 9 year old Chocolate Lab woke up this moning with a very droopy eye, and what appeared to be a bit if facial paralysis. She thought it might be a stroke, rushed him to the vet, where they did blood work, and they think it's Horners Syndrome. His symtems sound just like what I saw on my mom's face, and she was diagnosed with Bells Palsy. Is bells palsy a possibility?

It's not unheard of in dogs and might have been bought on by lyme disease (if she does have bells palsy)

"Some symptoms and signs of Lyme disease may not appear until weeks, months, or years after a tick bite. Stage three typically involves intermittent episodes of joint pain. Common clinical manifestations at this stage may include meningitis, Bell's palsy, cardiac involvement, and migratory pain to joints, tendons, muscle and bone:"
