You must look for a pleasing healthy puppy, the best you can do is check out the local lhasa apso clubs, or contact the AKC and ask for the Lhasa Apso club in your state, for responsible breeders, you can find lots of info at my website http://www.el-minjas.com

best regards and good luck

Frank

Take ur time looking for ur puppy, when u find the right one u will feel the connection. Do not purchase a puppy from a pet store as most of those puppies come from puppy mills. There are many Lhasa Apso rescue organizations, (although you may not find an 8wk old puppy they may have lhasas as young as 1yr old still very much a puppy)Dog rescue is one of the greatest gifts! Make sure u do ur research on this breed. They are a wonderful breed but are very stubborn, just takes patience! Good luck

LHASA APSO's are ugly ass dogs. get a real dog and get a shepard or mastiff or greyhound...not an ugly hairy smelly pile of drool.

Only buy form breeders with complete registration papers for the dog. A good bloodline specially coming from champions are more desireable. The downside is that they tend to be more expensive.

I personally wish you luck with your new purchase.I purchased a lhasa apso for $800.00 about 8months ago for my 3yr. old daughter.(This dog is now 11 months old).  I am unhappy with my selection. Dispite walking this dog twice a day(morning and night), this dog still find  time to urinate on the beds and sofas! I've had to replace "four" full size,"two" twin mattress and a living room sofa!Additionally, resently he has begun to snap, and nip my now 4yr, old daughter. I am looking to getting rid of this dog immediately. AKA PAPERS AND ALL. GOOD LUCK with your selection.

I got a Lhasa Apso and she is a sweet dog! As I've noticed about her though.. she doesn't like to use the bathroom out side. But she is very good with my other dogs. Shes very energetic and loves kids. She lets them cradle her like a baby and play with her. She doesn't like getting her hair brushed or taking baths. Shes very sweet natured and loves people.
