why does my dollar have stars inprinted on it

Hi..the reason it has a star is because it is a replacement note.When currency is printed some notes will fail to print properly.Instead of reprinting these notes over again they are replaced with a separate run batch of star notes.Star notes are also used to replace notes that have eight zeros in their serial numbers.These all zero's notes are now never issued but destroyed.

I just received $100.00 Dollar bill. I notice it had a STAR just after the serial number.How much is it worth now or should I keep it a few years,  FRANK
