The way is to show up at your nearest convention site with your tattoo fully healed, shaved and ready for photos, walk over to the model release form desk and fill it out. You will be looked at by a pro photographer and if the ink is great looking it will be shot. As far as being in a mag all depends on how great the tat is. The other way is to take shots of your tattoo print them on slides and mail them directly to the magazines themselves. Always send to the attn of the art director and wish and wait . if its going to be used they will send you a notice as to where and when it will be published And no don't ask for money or to be paid for its use. thats not happening

You need to either submit slides, which usually doesn't work or attend a few major conventions. Most shots they use are set up at conventions. The photographers will pick you out of the crowd if they feel your tattoos are worth publishing, and they have a studio set up there. If you artist is really good get them to send in slides and they might get published as well.

Seein how its march 2005 im kinda late on this one, but the easiest way to get your work in a tattoo magazine is to send in your work, some magazines will even pay for work, like tattoo, they pay 75$ for a full page, 25$ for half or smaller, so send in you work and get recognized, much clown love and good luck , Dave Rage TheOneAndONLYDaveRage@hotmail.com

But, Normally it is by getting a set of pictures taken of your tats which are then submitted to the magazine for consideration by the photographer. Or the editor/sub editor asks you!! Steven furiousphotography@gmail.com
