Why does my evaporator core keep failing in my 1995 Dodge Ram pickup? This is the second unit to be replaced. Is it just shoddy parts that CHRYSLER Corp. is selling to the consumer? You can only get these evaporator cores from the dealer. This is a problem too
when there is a monopoly on the replacement parts!

Check the drain for the condensation of the evaporator. It is under the hood on the fire wall. They get pluged very easly. Just cut the drain tube for a larger hole.If the evaporator sit in the water it will rust through and leak.
