If I remember correctly.
WWII started September 1 1939 in Gdansk Poland.
Austria and Czech let Germans to walk in without single shot.

This was a local war in Europe only, it became a world war when the USA entered the war the day after Pearl harbor.  "A state of war exists" entered the USA on December 8, 1941

world war 2 stared on september 3 of 1939. neville chamberlain told the nation that for a 2nd time in some peoples lives that the country was at war with germany.
thats the correct one it says so in black and white.and my grandad was in it.

Hitler ordered the invasion of Poland on September 1st 1939 he issued a form of statement of intent rather than a declaration of war. war was than over by September 2nd 1945 when Japan surrender, this is called (VJ) if you want to know more you should visit WWW.faqfarm.com/Q/when_did_world_war_2_start

I think WWII started for the U.S.A Dec. 7, 1941 when Japan Attack Pearl Harbor. WWII started in 1939 for the rest of the world when Poland was attacked by Germany. WWII ended Sept 2, 1945 when Japan surrendered to the U.S.A.

It started with the 28th June 1914 assassination of the heir to the throne of Austria, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sophia, in Sarajevo by a Serbian Nationalist. This incident precipitated a war with Serbia, eventually starting WW1

the world war started in 1914 ... this was because of the alliance the germans had at the time with hungery ..... because of them having there leader killed they went to war with another country and thats where we step in ( to help that other countery ) ......... then all the other countrys in our alliance steped in to help us ..... and then you get ... the first world war
