My 6year old golden has just been diagnosed with lymphoma, he will be undergoing chemo-  treatments for eight weeks. Is there a support group , or a number I can call with advice or encoragement for some one who may be dealing with the same crisis?

I am dealing with the same crisis. However, I am debating whether to let nature take its course or chemo therapy. This is my second golden retreiver to be so young to have cancer. My first golden was 7. I did go the whole nine yards with chemo it only extended the dogs life two months. I don't want to go through the pain. Golden are the best, but, just don't seem to last 10-15 years like other dogs.

I am so sorry. My golden girl was 4 and a half when she had lymphoma. She was diagnosed in August and passed away November 2nd.I went the antibotic and prednisone route. My vet said there was no cure. But her last days made me heart sick. She looked tired and it was if she aged over nite. I hope you have a better ending than me. I now have a 4 month old golden, just love them. It wont replace Cody but it does help ease the pain.
