In polar regions like antartica, the ozone layer is depleting even though there is no pollution at that region.
The reason behind it is that during onset of winter in march cold winds from northern region that carry industrial harmful gases like chlorine and cfcs will mix with ozone around antartica.on a whole they form a ring that avoids air that comes from north to mix with it.then when hot spring arrives due to sun radiations the reaction between ozone and those harmful chemicals get activated and forms hole in ozone layer.as november arrives, in the antartica summer arrives and the ring breaks off. this allows the northern air rich in ozone to come over antartica. this is how the ozone layer depletion in antartica is complimentated to some extent.
