WHO TO REMOVE THE BAD SECTOR OF MY HARD DISK?

Bad sectors are marked by software such as scandisk. As the program is testing the data occasionally it hits an area on the disk that cannot normally be read - hence it marks it as 'bad'

Normally these are horrendous things that cannot be removed as they are actual physical imperfections on the disk - be wary that if these show up during scans, your disk may be approaching the end of it's life, backup and check frequently!

However, scandisk and programs of that ilk are not perfect and occasionally they will mark sectors as bad when they aren't. A few programs will check for this (I do not know of any offhand, though) - but I do know that Format will do it when formatting a drive. You have to supply the parameter to test bad clusters, though (/C or /T)

Note: Scandisk marks bad sectors so that the Operating system no longer uses the clusters. In essence it's a safeguard so that no data gets lost.

Hope that helps... basically, bad sectors are bad - they are physical, but marked logically on the disk.

hard disk bad sectors can be removed by disk manager/advanced/utilities/zero filling drive. zero filling a drive takes a long time but it really removes bad clusters form hard drive.

Bad sector does not require physical drive damage. If the power loss or whatever interrupts a write operation, the following condition may occur: the sector data is (partially) written but checksums (ECC data) are not written yet. This sector will be considered bad by hard disk firmware. Manufacturers tools (and some third party are also available) may get rid of those, but this implies full erasure of the drive contents (most of the time). This is what is called low level format of the disk, and gives two things:
1. If ECC checksums are missing, they will be restored, returning the sector in service.
2. If the sector is physically damaged, it will be marked bad and replaced by the spare (if there are any spares), at the on-disk controller level, without OS intervention. If there are no spares left the sector will remain bad.

You guys are all dumbasses and half of you don't even speak English.

To reclaim sectors that are marked as "bad":
Find a utility such as WipeDrive that will write zeros to the entire hard disk, or use the standard windows format command with the /c or /t parameter.

To check your drive for bad sectors, and mark them as such:
Run ScanDisk on the drive in Windows 95 / 98, or run a chkdsk on the drive in Windows XP.

some logical bad sectors can be remove by softwares usually softwares that run on dos mode..one example is hdd regenerator and if you don't care about data loss you can do a low level format others call it zero filling, but make sure your using full not the quick type LLF or zero filling..but if your disk has a physical bad sector on it, there is really nothing you can do but make a quick backup of your drive and never trust that drive again for your precious data..physical BS is a sign that your drive is ready to fail..
hope this helps..

Bad Sectors Cannot be removed from hard disk but it can be fixed as not used space. And their after it will be declared as unused space by any program, because of that size of the disk get reduced. It cab be fixed by formating with the option /c /t or by dm software

Low level format can be one of the option. Hard disk manufacturer provides utility to zero each bit on the disk which may remove bad sector. But there is no prooven technology that removes bad sector and makes your hard disk usable again. All you can do is try different tools available.
One idea to restore is format your hard disk with /C option and use scandisk to mark bad sector. If the bad sector are at start then install dual OS on it. Use the OS which is installed on other part of the disk.

Bad sectors are physical wearing of a location on your HD cylinders. As such they cannot be removed by any software means. It is just an indicative of the growing age of your HDD. Although many HDD keeps aside some hidden space in it to replace them with the bad sectors as and when they occour, but I am not sure about this fact for all HDD manufacturer products.

you cant get rid of a bad sector on a hard drive by "zero filling it" all that does is ensure that your data is erased.  a bad sector is an area of the drive where the magnetic field on the drive is deteriorating and that cannot be fixed
