You can connect Ericson GF768 ,688 and Siemens M35 Sets directly with 8051.simply connect rx ,tx and gnd of set and 8051 with out any buffer. Then apply AT command set.AT command will echo back and Response "OK",0x13,0x10. You have to write a routine for response checking.
