Quakers were very against war because they believed in fairness for everyone.

even though slaves were consider as properties and were even allow to learn how to read or write. Fredrick Douglass was the only slaves that knew how to read and writes and he escape from slavery to help his people. he became an abolitionist, a person against slavery.but as that very year Abraham Lincoln was president and he the one that free slaves, he sign one of the most important document in America history to free slaves.
