I recently took my chocolate lab puppy to the vet. He is 4 months old and weighs 31 lbs. I asked if he was underweight or overweight. The vet told me he was weighing exactly what a chocolate lab puppy should weigh at that age. I feed him (with a measuring cup) 4 cups of "Kibbles and Chunks" once daily.

I hope this helps.

Yes this is normal, she is an English Labrador. The American Labs are the ones you see around parks that are huge and when are full grown weigh around 120 pounds. However, the English Lab weighs around 60 pounds when he/she is full grown and the white chest thing is perfectly normal most chocolate labs have a white chest markings so she is a labrador.
Your dog is very healthy but try to feed her a little if she looks too skinny, labradors need to be kept slim though so don't make her fat. I also recommend using he/her as a hunting dog or in flyball so that he/she gets a lot of energy and anger out. Flyball is a great sport for dogs because she gets to play with other animals and she runs as fast as she can to grab a ball out of a ball holding thing. Hunting is great too, my chocolate lab puppy has been trying to hunt around the yard so I'm obviously going to take her hunting.

May your puppy live happily,
choco lab owner
