I have a 1995 Dodge Caravan My dash lights, fuel guages and other dash board equipment does not work. can anyone tell me or give me a copy of the wiring for this. If the ignition swith is bad can it cause the lighting to not work. I did have a problem with the switch once before and we just restatred the van and it was ok, does this sound like the ignition switch is bad ??

You don't say if you checked the fuse box.I have a '97 Voyager and My non cigarette 'power outlets' didn't work and I looked under the dash for a blown fuse but alas none to be found.Since I bought it used no owners manual came with it so I hunted around the whole car and found another fuse/relay box in the engine compartment.
Vi O la , (thats viola) there it was a blown fuse that i replaced and all was well again.
So try that first.

You might check the ignition switch once the van is started and running... once in a while the switch will not return to the "run" position. Just turn the key back toward you a "tad" and it might get everything running A OK.

I just bought a used 1995 Caravan SE and driving home the check engin light came on.
Today it is off again. Does this mean it is ready to have routine service or is it a problem that needs to be checked out.

Wayne, i have a 92 caravan and it does the same thing from time to time, just don't start the ignition right away, turn ignition on the on position, wait till dashlight go off then start the vehical. It is the computer board on the dashboard. It is fine. If you like, hit the dashboard, that works too.  :0)

If your fuses are fine, and all your instrument lights are still out (you may also be experiencing a bouncy innacurate fuel level guage) try the PC board instrument panel controller. It's behind the instrument faceplate. The local Dodge dealer just charged me $660 parts and labor to replace the stupid thing in my 95 Caravan. The PART cost me $490. Curse them!
